I've noticed that my chest size seems not too far behind some of the serious heavy lifters here, despite my never being consistent, nor having done any lifting for over six months (started off as illness, then didn't get back into it due to long hours at work/lack of energy). Also, my biceps are tiny in comparison to the people whose stats I've been looking at.

I'm 5'11" and currently 76kg, biceps 13.5", waist 33", and my chest is 44".

I long ago noticed something weird about my arms. Although my biceps are relatively small, I'm able to curl significantly more than a lot of people with bigger arms. Back in May before I fell ill, I managed a set of six with 24.5kg per arm.

It's weird though, because the unusual strength in my arms is balanced by my bench press being poor for my chest size (never managed more than 105kg, 2 reps).

What's odd about your body? :)

That is strange.

I'm 5'8", 82KG, Biceps 15", Chest 43", Waist 34.

How big are your shoulders? to have that big a chest with arms that size you must either be really broad or have a reasonably think/large back. 51" over here and growing.

Last time I did really heavy curls was with 22.5KG DB's for a set of 8. Do you strugle with back exercises like Pull down and BOR's?

Bench is a little better than mine. Last year when I was using bars I managed 100KG for 3. Been using dumbells this semester so don't know how I have progressed.

Perhaps you have really dense muscle? if thats possible? allowing for more strength with less mass? Don't really know what I'm on about, sure someone will come along and explain!

Well being able to lift more than people with more muscles isn't anything new but your arms are a little smaller than expected of someone with your stats.

I always had a weak bench compared to my other stats and the power in my legs seems rather disproportionate to my upper body but then again I did play rugby so I suppose that's expected.

My ratios are all over the place - some of my lifts reflect my body, some don't. A bit like Ken really I'm more powerful than I look - well I don't think I look that powerful :p

I agree the body has a weird way of compensating and adapting. You could have a big chest thanks to having a big back too remember. :)

As for me, well, at the moment, weighing in at around 97~98kg:

Chest 46.5"+
Shoulders 54"
Bicep 17.7"
Waist 35"
Legs 27.1"
Neck 18"

I'm just under 6'1".

My legs need some work, my waist can probably lose an inch but it'll take some effort, bis are ok, but it's my tris that make my arms big really. It would be great to hit that magical 50" chest but that will require a lot of work.

How I measured mine was the same place I measured my chest, but go around the arms (instead of under them/through the pit) across the middle of the shoulder.

I think thats right...

It was a bit hard doing that myself, so I'll get somebody to give a second reading later on. My one came out just shy of 53".

Haven't measured myself before till just now - seems like my chest has some growing to do!

Chest - 38"
Bicep - 13"
Waist - 34"
Legs - 24"
Neck - 15"

For my size, i actually lift small weights in comparison to others. I think i can get by on lesser weight at a bigger volume. when training properly with a decent diet, i can grow without lifting excessive weight :D

as for size to weight ratio oddity - 18.5" bi's - cant curl for toffee!

Same, I look like i should be able to lift a lot more than i can, although the last few months i've lost interest in chasing the biggest weight possible, and working more on keeping myself fit and healthy.

Triceps make up a lot of arm size, and also help in benchpressing.

I would say try working on your triceps as much as biceps and see how your arm size and bench progress.
