**THE OFFICIAL AMD CHIPSET DRIVERS THREAD**

Wonder why AMD took so long to put these up when most of the motherboard makers have had this version of chipset driver out for a while.

Those were 7.01, These ones from AMD are newer 7.02's.

So they are:

AMD Ryzen™ Chipset Driver Release Notes 7.02.13.148

Release Highlights

  • New program support added.
  • Bug fixes.

Known Issues

  • After installing the AMD Chipset Installer version “7.xx.xx.xx”, users cannot install version “6.xx.xx.xx” or earlier.
    Workaround:
    • Un-install the latest version of the AMD Chipset installer (version 7.xx.xx.xx or later).
    • Delete the “Qt_Dependencies” folder located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD\Chipset_Software\".
    • Install any older version of the AMD Chipset installer (version 6.xx.xx.xx or earlier).\
  • On a non-English OS, some driver names may appear in English.
  • Occasionally, Ryzen PPKG may not install or upgrade.

New drivers on the official AMD site, version 7.04.09.545 dated yesterday.

As a side note, why on earth is this thread in the CPU section and not in the motherboard section?

Because the chipset since AM4 is on the CPU not on the motherboard.

But really... just because I thought this was the most relevant place to put it.

Just updated my chipset drivers, was on 7.01.08.129 now on 7.06.02.123

Never had any issues before (9800X3D) but they had not been updated since the system was built so thought why not! lol

Edit! was aa 9800X3D not a 7800X3D!
