Known Issues
- After installing the AMD Chipset Installer version “7.xx.xx.xx”, users cannot install version “6.xx.xx.xx” or earlier.
Workaround:- Un-install the latest version of the AMD Chipset installer (version 7.xx.xx.xx or later).
- Delete the “Qt_Dependencies” folder located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD\Chipset_Software\".
- Install any older version of the AMD Chipset installer (version 6.xx.xx.xx or earlier).
- On a non-English OS, some driver names may appear in English.
- Occasionally, Ryzen PPKG may not install or upgrade.

ive got a weird problem with this update
its been stuck at 99% for liek 3 or 4 days now and it wont let me cancel it the only thing i can do is shut the pc down and well that actually doesnt work because theres an update installing thats on 99% [the pc refusing to shut down is the only reason i even know there is an update lol been having to hope for the best every time ive shut the pc down this week out of fear of her not booting back up next time]
am i the only one with this issue?
x570 tuf gaming plus and 5900x if that makes any difference

Try uninstalling the chipset driver first, then delete all the folders in Windows associated with the chipset driver. Reboot and install the new drivers.

im changing motherboards in like a week or so so probably a waste of time it seems to be working fine as is
in fact i only know it was hanging an install because when i tried to shut down it asked me whether to shut down anyway because the update was happening
where would i even find the drivers to uninstall them? i kinda need to do that for when i swap motherboards in a week anyway im guessing. well im assuming windows
wont like it if i just swap the drive over without deleting the am4 specific drivers etc just a guess but im assuming i need to uninstall them anyway lol

Installed Apps.
Using same drive will work, it'll just update itself if you're moving to AM5 but you might get some issues so best to fresh install anyway.
I once went from Intel to AMD with the same drive, I uninstalled all of the Intel stuff and deleted all the Intel folders before switching and then put it in my AM4 build and it actually worked fine, Windows will just update all the usual drivers etc.
