——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

I think season 1 had these guns in free battle pass
GGH-22 Pistol
M357 Trait Revolver
SOR-300SC Carbine
Mini Scout Sniper Rifle
DB-12 shotgun
Sniper one especially is fire

Right... So this I don't like then. Because not everyone has 24/7 to grind the guns. We paid for the game. We should all get these for free with out the need to grind.

We can grind cosmetics as part of the season but guns that you will miss out on permanently feels wrong.

Luckily none of those are smgs which is my preferred weapon type.

I just asked copilot and it says:

Where there any new weapons as part of the season 1 battle pass?

No new weapons were added in the Season 1 Battle Pass for Battlefield 6.

Season 1 introduced new weapons to the game itself, but none of them were Battle Pass rewards. The Battle Pass only included cosmetics, skins, XP boosts, and similar non‑gameplay items.

How Battlefield 6 handles new weapons
BF6 follows a clear rule:

All functional weapons are free for all players.

No weapon platforms are locked behind the paid Battle Pass.

So even when Season 1 introduced new guns (like the G428 DMR and the SG‑36 LMG), they were added through free progression, not the Battle Pass.

Why do you say they aren't needed?
I don't think there is a single battlepass weapon that outclasses the base game weapons.

There are some weapons packages that enable you to have some of the base weapons unlocks faster - but you'll get those without doing the battle pass if you use that weapon.

I have not looked used or even looked at a single thing I've unlocked - they are there for me if I want them, but there is nothing there that beats what I have.

Not sure this is correct - not certain but I think a Pistol, a melee weapon and an sniper rifle needed some hoops to be jumped through, I'm not sure though.

I would say though that if you have limited time - then play the game in a way you enjoy - not in a way that helps unlock the battlepass, because there are some tedious assignments sometimes.

If the battlepass assignments and your play style match - great. But unless you relly like skins, stickers, charms and other cosmetics, you might not want to bother.

this is sort of basic of BF6? some grind is needed to unlock all weapons and attachments
as long as they are not insane, like how they initially put a sniper rifle behind 100 100m kills or something, mostly they unlock naturally as you play.

And you wouldn't be able to appreciate all guns early on anyway, too many, too similar. Takes time to see the nuance and kit out your favourite

I mean it would be wrong if there are guns which if you haven't ground them out during the season you lose access to permanently once the season ends.

Grinding as part of the game is fine to unlock stuff. But not time locked.

Do you lose access to those guns of you haven't unlocked them before the season 1 ends?

Short answer: No — you don’t lose access to the guns.

Battlefield 6’s seasonal structure doesn’t lock weapons away permanently. If you didn’t unlock a Season 1 gun during the season window, you can still get it later through the game’s Armory, Assignments, or whatever long‑term progression path DICE has tied to that weapon.

Games in the Battlefield series (including BF2042, which BF6 closely follows in structure) have consistently kept seasonal weapons available after the season ends. They simply move from the Battle Pass track into a permanent unlock path.

So even if you missed Season 1 entirely, those guns don’t disappear — you just unlock them through a different method afterward.

If you want, I can break down the exact unlock requirements for each Season 1 weapon.

I swear there is a bug with the PW5A3.

Sometimes I find I can't shoot after a reload or when getting revived.

Most annoying when it happens after reload, I point at the enemy but it doesn't fire...

I swear this was a bug in previous BF titles.

Not registering hits and gun not firing!

Firstly, I've been running the network graph to see why my hits arn't registering and it seems to be the server that is the issue. On really good servers where I'm near top of kills and score with flags captured, it's registering for example client hits 4 server hits 4. However where I'm struggling to register hits, the client registers 4 hits, and sometimes at worst only 1 is registered on the server. Doesn't seem to be a client issue :(

On the other issue I've come across, there has been times even with a full clip my gun just wont fire in the heat of action. Usually after I've done a previous action such as throwing C4, a grenade or climbing over an object. Anyone else?

situational, I use it mostly where I expect to be flanking or ambushing people
but either suppressor or flash hider must be on
all the muzzle brakes and compensators are just a handicap, lighting a lamp "here I am" after shooting

I hate that they have basically made it mandatory that you need to use something to hide yourself on the map.

Because it takes away from the other attachments that buff the gun in other ways.

I tend to find people can spot you half a mile away even with suppressors, so I tend to just stick a flash hider on for more points towards other attachments

I don't usually rant, but this time...

for the love of all that's holy, don't take the attack heli solo
you will die quickly anyway, but with a gunner there is at least a chance to shoot and spot something before that

Are people sticking with the signature weapons for the class they play or just picking any gun they like?

I 99% play engineer so I'm always SMG.

I've not even tried the Assault Rifles yet.

It might suit my play style to be an AR wielding engineer.
