——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

Most of the time when it comes to hitreg/netcode our team has only ever had problems when it comes to infantry. However last night for the first time it was actually happening with vehicles as well.

I was in a helicopter, and three glinting snipers were on the defence. I fired my silo of rockets directly at them and my mate used the undergunner. We both got some hit markers but not a single death.

The amount of times the client is working perfectly registering all the hits, but the server just goes uuhh what sorry I was asleep, let me atleast register those last few shots that woke me up

The issue is a lot of people are cheesing in the game.

Sliding around, using noob cannons and shotguns for instant kills.

a lot of the time I find my team or the opposition go full sniper and this causes two problems:

1. Playing against a team of snipers is not fun as you just get sniped from anywhere.

2. The team playing full sniper usually loses the game anyways as they aren't capping objectives.

So combine points 1+2 and you get a not very fun game.

Snipers seem a bigger problem in this version - they've practically removed me from playing the larger maps; I don't enjoy being repeatedly plinked from all directions.

It's annoying as I do enjoy going engineer and stalking tanks - but with all the snipers you have to just run around like a lunatic and hope you get a missile off before they get you.

In Battlefield there have always been things that are fun for players doing them - and less so for the players getting killed by it.

I've always thought they should limit the amount of snipers allowed per team.

Maybe 5 per team.

I started about 15 games tonight, quit every one except one. Im constantly getting put on teams who can barely hold one objective, never mind capture three or more. The team balancing is a mess. I’m not going to invest 15+ minutes of my time into a match if I’m stuck struggling to the even make it off the start.

I think I’ve played so many bad matches now, I can tell how well the teams are balanced within the first 200 points lost. So if I start to see signs my team is getting completely dominated, I instantly back out of the match. There’s no point is sticking around, as rarely does a match turn favours once one team starts steamrolling the other. Maybe 1/20 a turnaround might happen, but it’s simply not worth the investment.

I told my mate to do the same, if the hitreg is horrendous and it's so badly unbalanced what's the point of keep playing that server?

Last night though apart from hitreg the amount of snipers affecting two of the main maps, one being operation firestorm is getting ridiculous! They either glitch up the mountain, or partially climb the large furnace pipe. Sure you can kill them and their spawn beacon, but the instant it's back you just get sniped again making it all but impossible to capture some of the objectives

Maybe the game mode where you can only choose weapons associated with your class is the answer BF6 provides?

But is that popular enough?
I'm a fairly rubbish sniper and even I can snipe in BF6 - they've made it too easy in this version and this is just inviting people to do it; especially since AR's have pitiful damage at range and can't really counter snipe.

And all the maps leave you feeling unsafe - like you can be shot from any direction at any moment.

Good and bad.

Some of the best maps we currently have are the small to medium sized maps. The larger ones just encourage everyone to go full sniper and that comes with it's own set of problems.

So I'd say the small to medium maps which are competitive are better than the big ones where everyone goes full camper sniper and leaves the objectives... Untouched.

Some of the maps could do with an overhaul !

Operation Firestorm needs more cover against the snipers who keep going up the fire tower
New Sobek City we need to be able to bring those buildings down
Liberation Peak needs either a path up the middle mountain to deal with snipers or don't have them glitching up there at all!

It's not the maps, sniping is now COD style sniping, super easy to do. The very least they could do is not let Sniper Rifles work like shotguns in close ranges etc.
The maps are not good either though lol.

They really need to address these issues.

  • Vehicle camera going mad/been unable to see when you're close to walls
  • Debris getting stuck in Vehicle camera vision.
  • Enemy chopper been able to fly into Main Spawn area (and kill players) and not be affected by (out of bounds) on Eastwood Map.
  • Audio dropping out when driving a tank.
  • Infinite repair bug with a tank never getting fully fixed yet you keep on gaining XP. :p

So I’ve not played for 2 weeks.

Went to play first time last night and the latest update was applied.

Within 10 mins of a game, I got a crash and then another one after 2 hours. The first one was some kind of “video card disconnect” error and the other was blank screen.

In 150 hours of playing BF6, I never had a single issue.

Anyone else come across this?

Before I logged off last night I installed latest Adrenalin drivers as I was running a version from early December 2025 but I can’t see that being a problem as I was gaming fine with them. The only variable changed is the latest BF6 update.
