Clive Barker's Jericho

Anyone else seen this game? I almost wet myself.
It is a horror FPS, with stunning graphics, and written and designed by Clive Barker (the guy from HELLRAISER)

Looks set to be damn scary, and damn violent. You have a team, each of which has various powers, and although that sounds horribly cliched, from what I have seen so far it looks awesome!

Watch the trailer for it, it looks totally stunning.
There are two so far I believe, both of them are great!

Yea looking forward to this - always like the slightly darker games (i.e. Stalker) that have some background. Builds a lot more atmosphere as a result.

From the FULL Game..

Turned off shadows , it does run better... Its better than the demo but can be a little annoying as the cutscene kicks in as its sometimes unexpected. I've seen a lot of respawning enemies , you attack some bad guys kill them all and keep running suddenly they are behind you attacking your friends. This is a VERY scripted game btw

More screenshots here , bottom screenies

Played the Xbox 360 demo. Was alright. It is cool when an enemy jumps on you and you have to hit buttons in the correct sequence to punch and kick them off. Stunning graphics but it just didnt grab me. The mechanics felt clunky. I will wait and see for the reviews for the PC before deciding.

Just tried the demo myself, saw it on Steam, thought I'd give it a quick try.

Had already played the demo on my PS3, and it looked and played well, so thought I'd give the PC version a try, seeing as it's only $40 on Steam.

Phew, runs like arse on my system ;)
It defaulted to 1680x1050, and everything on high, except motion blur... and... erm... something else that was "unavailable"

Turned the textures and shadows to low.
Still didn't run great.

Guess I'll have to wait for the 8800GT to be released, and hopefully bought and fitted to my mobo, and try again. I still don't hold out much hope of it running great with the details put back to high again though.

I didn't think it was a bad game, but I totally hate those Simon Says parts, where you have to quickly tap the keys that pop up on the screen... though I found that part easier on the keyboard than I did with the PS3 triangle/square etc.

V1N.

I'm not too keen of team based SP games. I hate having to give commands to stupid AI. Some games get away with this though. Like Tom Clancy's rainbow six and ghost recon.

Mouse still doesn't move up & down correctly, like its designed for a joypad.

FPS: I find it just playable at max 2xAA >40fps av55fps with [email protected], 8800gtx, 4gig.

GFX: Good specular lighting makes things look moist, not realistic characters like Bioshock (engine fault?), still life in DX9 yet but come on: they could have added DX10 for the PC version.
