Couldn't agree more. I remember hearing stories a few years ago of parents stealing Teletubbies from toddlers in the park because they wanted to give them as xmas pressies. What is the world coming to?

My son has mentioned that he'd like a Wii for xmas this year, however he has said that he'll be happy with whatever he gets as he understands a Wii is an expensive toy and they're in short supply. He doesn't yet know that he'll get one, so I've been tormenting him like mad :D

Seems my 9 year-old son is more mature than a lot of parents these days.

Sorry for the late post - Mine came into store on saturday morning! Have had the gf over all weekend so we've pretty much only played tennis, I love it.

Going to crack into zelda soon
:D

Just when I had given up hope on my preorder!

That's utterly shocking.
How did the "parental testing time" line go with the mrs?
I just made £200 on my spare wii and I'm going to put the used one up now too, I like it but I can use the cash more, especially if I can make some wedge on it. My daughter will be peeved but hey ho that's life.

Thanks - Friday mad me feel so angry - but the call saturday morning was such a relief, marched right in there and bagged it all up, minus red steel, which i'll get for xmas if people think its any good.

Even had my father, who has MS, playing me and Wii Tennis swearing and shouting at me for pwning him, 10 mins after opening the box.

This machine is one amazingly, gorgeous piece of kit - I'm proud to own one, and I say that as a balanced, fanboy hating gamer :)

Worked well, thanks mate. I was allowed a quick 10 mins on Wii Sports.... I loved it.

Can you tell who wears the trousers in our house? :(

If those Wiis don't come in stock on wednesday like people have said I'll be full of rage.
do we have a source one who said they are coming in wednesday? How many we ment to be getting?

We had a quick go of wii sports after work, had a bit of a laugh, was a shame I only had 1 controller.

Was out of town for the rest of the weekend, but had a good ol' Wii session last night with my brother since I managed to pick up an extra controller.

Fun is defiantly multiplied by the amount of players in Wii sports, I even enjoyed baseball, though he managed to seriously homerun my ass :o

Red Steel lives up to it's reviews, pretty poor game, average at best, control system takes awhile to get used to, even then its not that great, still, there is some fun to be had blasting bad guys, I'm not a fan of the sword play.

I'm a few hours into Zelda, Link controls VERY well, I honestly can't wait to get home to pick this up again.

Got Wii play as well, came with the controller, but I havn't tried that yet.

I found Wii Play a litle bit of a let down at first but give it a few more goes, get a few medals and the 11 minigames are actually pretty good fun.
I like the billiards and the cow racing ..... and the alien shooting.

Cow racing, the lightgun game, tanks (Awesome) are all good to play. But not worth more than a few quid for the game.

I forgot about the tanks, rather addictive that is.

Is that Tanks game like that old Atari 2600 cowboy game the name escapes me where you try and shoot player two by bouncing your bullets off the walls? :D
