The Official 'Countdown to Wii' Thread!

Just got my Wii!

Queued at Asda (well they gave out numbers at we sat in the cafe) and was number 17 out of 25 consoles. They also only had 17 copies of Zelda so i got the last of that :D

Success! Went to local supermarket on the off chance. got there about 10.45 and I bought the 45th out of 48 consoles. It was mental! I thought there was going to be blood spilt
 
we got 37 and 38 of 48
arrived at 21:00 out by 00:26 - not too hardcore :)
kudos to the woman who'd been there since 2pm though!
10hours in COMPETITOR, eurgh!
 
Just popped down to my local supermarket. After the people in the queue were served they had 10 Classic pads 4 nunchucks left over. Asked them regarding component cables and they didn’t even have any delivered. They had tons of games even Zelda and monkey ball all games were £34.96. I picked up a nunchuck and Rayman. Wii arriving today – Wii + Zelda + Wii-Play. I can't sleep!! :D

I went to XXXXXXX for about quater to 12 and about 10 people waiting for the pre-order (30 pre-orders to the store) and one tit with a video camera :S

They had NO Wii Remotes or Wii Classic pads, quite a few games, and I saw 4 component cables on the shelf and wiied my pants, couldnt believe they had any I got 2 another lad got 1, these will sell for like £50+ Got a Zelda because they are suppose to in shortage and a wii nunchuck.

xxxx has loads of chairs in there but nobody was left I went at about half past after leaving xxxxxxxx, they had a couple of games and 4 classic pads and that was it for acessories, got 2 for £15 each.

Pretty chuffed really.

:D Yeah the supermarket didnt have any component but another shop did.
 
No chance, the thing is about 10 people went in before me with there pre-orders and none of them bought a component cable :eek:

I was like "i see some component cables can I have 2"

the lad behind me was just buying a pad because his was coming today and he bought 1.
 
You get the composite cable (Red, yellow, white) and a scart adapter, you can buy a component cable (For HD TVs I think) or a RGB (Better quality than composite)
 
I just got a message off who i ordered off saying that the accessories will be delayed.
But i did get a 'shipped' email for Zelda. But what good is a game without the hardware to play it on? :(
 
Well, off to hopefully be the first to queue at the giraffe store in half an hour! I feel crazy for doing this, I've had 1 hour of sleep and Ive got a stinking cold!
Watch me fall asleep in the car and waking up to a huge queue at 8:30 :D

Just on this subject, if I buy a TV which says 'AV side/front input' would that be composite? What colours are the connectors?
 
The only was is via component I think

I think its trying to say the best connection is component and vga
