They have a 5-10 ish degree of arc travel and try ant track as well as they can.

However they still need to be pointed towards the target and can lose track quite easily.

Yes they track to a certain degree so you still have to point them. They aid a lot when targetting subsystems. For example approach an anaconda from a certain angle and take out his power plant and boom. No more anaconda in half the time of chipping away at its hull. Its amusing when an anacondas shields go down other players are chipping away and you swoop in and pretty much one shot it ;)

Yes got it working finally cheers :)

Not liking the "snap to centre" deadzone effect.
Anyway to make it more smoother and less.. "acceleraty" for a want of a better word, when you go to the edges?

Some great tips there. I just wish the game wouldn't crash so often ( for me at least ). That's really curtailing my enjoyment of the premium beta. Such a pity, because the game looks so good even at this early stage.

Was crashing all the time and found playing windowed gives crash free gameplay

I still can't connect properly. My ship is currently in the middle of nowhere in space, so that loads up fine but I can't get out of supercruise at space stations or combat areas where other players or instances are. Just hangs with a shaking ship. Hoping for a patch soon.
