The *Official* Eve Online Thread

It seems pretty professionally done, but the host is annoying and doesn't seem to know a huge amount about PvP. The commentators also seem to lack knowledge in PvP.

Ahh cheers :) nice to get some actual details, unlike the rubbish the commentators spout lol :) all they talk about is logistic drones and OMFG look at him rep that damage! :rolleyes: :p
 
MY GOD, you guys are SO hard to please.

FACT, they might be carebears and they might not know all our l33t pvp knowledge, but they're doing a lot better than last time and they're really into it.
FACT, find another mmorpg thats doing what evetv is doing, i love the fact that it's players that are doing this.
FACT, im in ifni's fanclub
FACT, you try doing it if you think you could do better,. get some fraps footage and ad-lib over it.

I love EVE Tv, trust me I'm not hard to please ... bubble warp for example gives me hours of pleasure, as does a baseball mitt and ball :) just gets a bit tiring after a while shouting at *** commentators correcting them :) especially when they didn't know the differences between the logistics gfx ;)

They seemed to get their definitions of gank and tank slightly wrong as well :p

probably, i have limited my DL to 30kb/s as it was playing havoc with my connection, I may have a look at the Scheduling bit of uTorrent to see if i can up the DL speed while @ work and Asleep.

Aye I do that :) I set it to limited from 12am till 8am :) then tell it to turn off at 8am :)
 
I played with my Settign a bit last night and found out that it wasnt the DL rate thast was causing the problems it was the number of connectio uTorrent had, i reduced it from 750 to 250 and my network suggishness & freezing has stoppped,
I also have it limited from midnight to 7pm weekday and midnight to 10am weekends
 
Steve, i've found with uTorrent that i don't need to limit my DL but to limit my UL, i limit my UL to about 10kb/s and when its popular and enough seeds (like this) it will still max out my connection
 
Arg!!! I'm having problems with eve on my new laptop. The text has gone funny as if its super low resolution all stretched out and its impossible to read. I've tried reinstalling and everything but nothing i've tried helped. Heres some screenies of the problem (1280x800)
