Well if it follows any particular trend the t2 variant always costs at least 5 times as much, just look at a vagabond.

Is it worth waiting until after the upgrade to buy one of the current ships (i.e. Drake) or are prices likely to stay around the same?
 
I got webbed last night, then the 2.5 mil BS threw an everlasting array of 300hp wrath missiles at me. :(
My poor little T2 hammerheads couldn't take out the web ships (waves of four at a a time) and my Mega mod pulses wouldn't touch them at 6k distance..

Anyway had the insurance and 202 mil in the kitty so went a bit mad and bought a Abaddon instead.

four cap recharger II did sweet FA..
how do you keep that dam thing alive...:confused:

What kind of loadout are you looking for? I've got a pretty good PvE one.

You'll need all the relevant skills at level 5 and at least 2 CCCs plus cap rechargers (T2 of course) to keep the cap up on an abaddon when tanking.
 
PVE sounds good to me, haven't had the bottle for staying in low sec for any longer than collecting bought stuff from a few stations.
Keep telling myself once I have cloaking sorted, I'll give it a go, but as of yet, still too many skills more important to train..

Like rigging for a start :(

High slots
  • 6 x Mega Pulse Laser II
  • 2 x Dual Light Pulse Laser II

Med slots
  • 1 x Sensor Booster II
  • 3x Capacitor Recharger II

Low slots
  • 1 x Large Armor Repairer II
  • 2 x mission-specific T2 hardeners
  • 1 x Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
  • 2 x Heat Sink II
  • 1 x Capacitor Power Relay II

Rigs
  • 1 x Auxiliary Nano Pump I
  • 2 x Capacitor Control Circuit I

Drones
5 x Hammerhead II
5 x Hobgoblin II

The cap holds indefinitely and it can deal quite a bit of damage too. The tank's also nice as the resistances are through the roof when the hardeners are turned on :) The dual light pulses are pretty useful for anti-frig duties too.

Yep, can only access Char info with active sub.

Probably worth starting again if you don't have too many skill points spent, also if your Charisma is set pretty high (over 7) better to start again. I started again despite having a character who could use Mining Barges etc (over 2mill skillpoints) because he was pretty messed up. Since i only started 2 days ago, i followed a good new char creation guide which has let me jump into a semi decent ship and start hammering into the PvE :)

www.shatteredcrystal.com has 90 day gamecards which work out at £6.20ish per month (£19ish for the 90days) and i'll vouch for them. Pretty speedy but if your a first time buyer they insist upon phoning you for activation.

Edit: If you do sign up and go Caldari add me to your buddys in game (Gimpy Moose) and i'll try and help you out as best i can :)
 
Yeah they also ask you some security questions, when they phoned me they asked whats the name of the nearest major road?

I wasn't expecting that at all, started stammering and going umm ... its ... urmmm i couldnt think :D

Guess you didn't read the large bold text at the top of the page, or the numerous times it mentions it throughout the ordering process then :p
 
just so you know, your account doesnt have to be active to check what characters are on the account, an inactive account can still go to the protrait or character transfer pages. So as long as you know the name of your best char, you can find out what account it is on.
 
to be fair I did realise they would ring, as you say it says at the top but thought it would be date of birth, address, post code etc.

:mad: I may or may not have put a short skill on last night, and I may or may not have forgotten about it...

Oh well, at least I did no such shenanigans with my other account. :)

Edit: Omfg. I love Evemon. :D It just told me TQ was starting up, then up, so I logged on and changed skill. :D (Hopefully it sticks...)
