The *Official* Eve Online Thread

Thinking of selling my mission running alt. VERY good Tengu pilot with great missile skills. 20+ Mill SP. full L-G Crystal set with some other Missile implants. Positive Wallet and not hated by any corp AFAIK. -0.13 sec status. CEO of her own corp 'Mein Hund hat keine Nase. wie riecht es...' Unsure how much she is worth...any ideas guys?

Logged in today and im getting 5fps average, running an GTX 460 sli machine :(
Nothing has changed no new drivers etc.

Any one having a similiar issue ?
Any advice on a fix ?

Been a long time since i played eve. Almost miss it at times. Im told almost everyone i played with is gone, thats sad. Great game, can fully recommend it if you have no social commitments for the majority of the next decade! HF.

In death as in life, we are relentless. Reikoku.

Pretty much the same here. Missing it at the minute and so tempted to resub. Probably only cus the tourney is on and had so much fun taking part in it last year.

OT: Glad to see the 2 teams I'm rooting for win their matches today, Agony & RvB.

Kinda fancy playing eve but have I missed the boat now no pun intended lol? After a new mmo played it once on the free trial about 3 years ago and had no idea what I was doing lol.

Im coming back to eve next week - Not been playing last 6 months been to busy - My char in Eve is Van steiza - Looking forward to getting back into soloing again its been a while. :D

Whenever I watch a vid. like that, I want to play again. Then, I start to think what Eve really is, a point & click borefest most times, that knocks some sense back into my head...

It is FAR from point and click borefest. I see EVE as a complex machine requiring a brain and intelligence to operate. I LOVE hunting people, just been slow past 2 weeks as I have been rather poorly. Anyhow, EVE is awesome.

Pandemic Legion to win the AT10 ;)

I also see it as if you get bored in EVE, your not doing it right. EVE has soooo many different things you can do, you make it your own...so should really not get bored...

I've said it before and I'll say it again I'm sure - Eve is what you make of it, if you're finding it a borefest you're doing it wrong. Eve PvP can give an adrenaline kick like no other game I've ever played.

I keep hearing that, and I want to believe it, but I don't know how you get into PvP. The few times I've been in that part of Space where you are not 'safe' I was just insta exploded by a random player. How do you have a structured fun PVP experience?

I've let my accounts unsub for now. Just too bored with it. I thought it was having to worry about isk that was stopping me just getting on with it but even after 'acquiring' a load of isk I was still bored so meh. Maybe I should have stayed away after quitting the first time back in 07.

I'd sell my accounts if I could be bothered playing the ebay game or if all the other game char selling sites weren't massive scams...

Eve's fun but you really do need to have no responsibilities like kids/job etc to truly get involved. It's not something you can pick up/put down at a whim.

I'm going through the exact same thoughts myself Damien. It's a choice between Eve and every other game a play + kids/work/marriage.

I'll admit, the learning curve can be a brick wall.

If you want structured maybe something like Red vs Blue?

Or even coaching from someone in a one-to-one setting?

It is tough. There's a lot going on in EVE PVP.

How I started -
Belt piracy in frigs. You basically need to find an area backwater-ey enough to not be full of pirates but not too backwatery to have noobs to shoot.
