***The Official First Game you ever completed thread ***

I'm really bad for completing games, I just lose interest or another game comes out and takes my fancy.

Although, saying that..

Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge on the Spectrum :)
Ivan "Ironman" Stewarts - Super Off Road Racer also on the spectrum.. however if memory serves me right, you went back to the first track?

I play a lot of sports games and as such.. there are no definitive endings.

Star Trek on an old Video Genie II (Tandy TRS-80 clone). Going back quite a bit, that.

Wasn't it always based on the number of kills?

The later versions had missions that triggered once you reached the requisite number of kills, and only wnen you completed the mission did you get your next title. I remember to get to Dangerous I had to track down and kill a stolen prototype ship.

Megaman :)

3D Monster Maze - On the ZX81 was the first real game to impress me with its graphics , can't remember whether it did finish or just loop back.

Starquake , on the Speccy , was the first game i finished ( one of the few games that actually HAD a finish ! ). Spent hours and hours with this little chap.

Dragon 32 - Some text adventure can't remember the name of right now
BBC Model B - Elite status on Elite - was really the only game I ever played on it! :)
Amiga - Dungeon Master
PC - Sam n Max (the original)

To answer the OP question, it will be the text addie one, but couldn't resist the others.

I can't remember if I ever completed it, but I spent far too much pocket money on New Zealand Story in the arcade... There were another couple I played at the time as well (Double Dragon, Vigilante), but can't remember which was first, and if any were completed :o

So the first one I am positive I played through start to finish, was Strider on the MegaDrive. Class :)

You all seem so sure. There were a number of games I must have finished on the Atari, but out of all of them none really had an ending! The first ending I actually remember I think is:

Another World - Amiga
