The Official Galactic Civilizations Thread

Hey guys,

I performed a search and I can't find any official thread about this series, so I decided that I would start one.

I can't be the only one addicted to Galactic Civlizations II at the moment, it's one of the best 4x space strategy games I have ever played and reminds me of what Stars! Supernova would've been had it ever made it to release.

So, anybody else playing this great game? Share your strategy and custom races here.

Just so you know you are not alone....

I have been playing on and off since Gal Civ 1 came out and it is one of the best 4x games out there.

Can't talk strategies at the mo as my current game of the month is Oblivion, and I'm scared if I stop I'll never get to the end.

Have you checked out some of the crazy custom ship creations out there though? Quite remarkable!

Aye, I've been messing around with the shipyards non-stop it's bloody fun. I am playing an evil race at the moment, but oddly enough my colony ship is the scariest looking of all my current classes.
