Works fine on dice player, I uploaded a video demonstrating this over MHL months ago.

Don't know about 10gb+ files though, never tried nor do I have one I think.

Hmm, I think I have seen that video on youtube, did you by any chance show some web browsing on the OCUK forums as well? :p

I have a few 6-8GB 1080P MKVs as well, if you have any around that size, do they play fine?

Yup that was me. :D

Just tried a 8GB 1080p mkv file, played perfectly fine.

With the NEON SIMD 1080p video won't be a problem, even high profile. My Galaxy S with a single core Hummingbird (Cortex A8) played 1080p video perfectly.

Updated

So far I have noticed

Improved quick controls in browser
Possibly boosted wifi? I can get wifi on my bed, I couldn't before
The screen seems brighter, which I don't like

Nice! :D Thanks.

I know the hardware for the GN is up to scratch for playing all 1080 content, just wasn't sure if the software side of things for stock android would be limiting it like HTC sense on the powerful mobiles like the sensation etc. Where as with the GS 2 you have most of the codecs etc. built in and so any type of video plays flawlessly on it.

Seems a nice little update.

I've also notice the text in the email client looks different and the calendar widget displays better shows different calendars easier and also now shows full day events which it didn't before.

Holding down the power button:

yeah I got that.....it might be a bit quicker, the autorotate is definitely better though, mine was always really sticky.

For me:

Smoother browser and faster start up.
Screen AutoRotate lag gone.
Quick controls in browser.
New power menu.
Spell checking working in browser.
Camera UI changes and image quality looks better.

A few more:

There is a dock option in system settings.
You can take a still when filming video.
Auto brightness is better.

yeah im stock, i seem to have an issue that the other chap head, my wifi goes to sleep and so does my signal, so the download keeps failing, kept it awake and its worked, but getting this grey wifi and signal issue

All seems OK now after a quick reboot. I do see a improvement in 404. msging and flicking between screens is quicker. I used to get keyboard lag when hammering out loads of texts to my football team

I still have a bug I was hoping would be gone: I have three morning alarms, about a half hour apart,.. the second alarm sometimes fails to wake the screen up when it starts ringing, and after a few seconds the phone crashes and reboots. Not a big bug, but still annoying at times.

I still have the issue...even with 4.0.4...

need to get some time to drop it off at O2....is it keeps on happening on all versions of software, it has to be something to do with either firmware or hardware ....
