can I demand another mobile ? can I be cheeky and ask for One X ? ;D

why not i have before, state the following

- u have already sent it away once
- were without the phone for 2 weeks
- you mate has one and has been fine
- it has not worked correctly since day 1
- you had all you data wiped
- they reset it to an older version
- it took you ages to set it back up
- they have not honoured the contract with providing a working handset

At the end of the day after trying a new sim you have exhausted all avenues by the sound of it. so if I was in your shoes I would be demanding a replacement

I will :)

On xda people say that after 4.0.4 there are signal issues, so when I mentioned when nexus looses signal more easy, it wasn't only me lol

Still Internet problem is not same...bring it on Tuesday or Wednesday and new sim...

Gets better and better....had mobile signal when I woke up and shortly afterwards I lost it....went for work and once I got there still no reception....tried to choose network manually with no luck...now nexus is switched off ,and will switch it back I n few minutes to see if network will register it or maybe it's completely dead...or it can be tmbile and orange that have a problem..
EDIT:
Tmbile is a joke!!!!!
S i have requested a new sim card....as I could not to Register to network I rang them...
Turns out they have already registered new sim card on the network so mine old one won't work!!!!
How the hell am I suppose to go through long weekend without a mobile!!!!!
I was 'advised that I can go to nearest tmbile shop and pay for a replacement card that would work straight away...but I have to pay £10!!!

Thing is I'm at work and am stuck here till god knows what time(film crew using our buildings) and there is no tmbile shop anywhere near to where I work so can not popout...

I'm working tomorrow as well so again will have no time to do it:/

My phone number is a point of contact with set director so without it I'm in a pickle...

If I get time I will get one if not, I have to survive until Sunday as it will be my day off...

I will make a complaint to them, ask for compensation and refund of £10 I had to spend on sim card....

it is a bit **** poor tbh, why don't they have a beta tester group, you i would not mind having the issue if i was beta testing for them, its just you wait for an update and it buggers it up

Problems on a nexus phone should be minimal - there seems to be a problem on every update - waiting to be fixed by the next update.

I don't have the phone but Jimlad certainly does.

My Vodafone sim is about 5 years old and cut into a microSIM to fit my old iPhone... wonder if it's worth me getting a new one. Don't seem to have any signal issues with 4.03 CNA ROM but it's not perfect... then again, Vodafone never seems to be.

I think Google are using the GNex as a testbed for Android updates and that goes some way to explain the problems that have been observed. It's the first phone to get updates and it's got wide support among the nerd community so I guess they feel it's not the end of the world if there are problems. I agree the consumer experience should be better - the launch and bug about the volume issue were both extremely poorly dealt with.
