spoke to O2, and they re saying that they cant replace the phone as it is not theirs but Samsungs....and if another repair doesn't fix it, they(Samsung ) may replace phone for a new one...

How the heck they wont take responsibility...I bought phone from them not Samsung!

Spoke to a mate too, he hasn't got the problem either.
I'm wondering if certain settings or scenarios brings the problem to the fore more than others?

Exactly the same. I have always received texts on time.

Mobile signal never drops except for where there is poor reception.

lots of people on XDA have it and lots seem fine. some people have made changes to the cpu clock speed, not letting it drop below a certain point fixes it, but then decreases the battery at a higher rate.

how do i flash the kernel?
i have the nexus rooted and am running AOKP foxhound rom but fancy trying out the franco kernel
can you flash a kernel on its own or do you need to flash a specific kernel that is compatibile with your current rom? will flashing a new kernel wipe all my installed programs etc or leave these intact?
thanks for any advice

Anyone planning on trying the official 2000mAh battery?

Yes, quite a few people are using these.

Doesn't add that much more life, maybe about half hour screen time. I get 3 hours screen time easy and around 5 hours on wi-fi only but I'm using a custom kernel.

I like the more 2000mAh battery more than the stock one, as it makes the phone feel nicer.

Wasn't it released very recently in the UK?

I think that if I can hit 6 hours screen (mostly white background browsing) on time using 40% brightness with this battery it would be worth it. I get about 5 hours at the moment. It is relatively cheap for an official accessory and so will give it a try. Not having to worry about your phone dying very late evening is certainly worth a lot imo.

I don't know when it was released in the UK. I ordered mine from Korean a few months ago, cost me £30.

You get 5 hours... I got 4 hours screen time last night before the battery died with heavy use.

You just a flash kernel on its own, but you need a rom that is either 4.0.3 or 4.0.4.

I'm running the franco kernel myself.
