Yeah, let me know how it goes.

I have a new sim. Ie ordered from 3 within 1 month
I am on the latest version. The tiny update was the most recent
Mine did not do this on 4.0.2

Having blue tooth issues with my car Mitsubishi Outlander . Will pair ok, make call ok, disconnect call the screen in my car is still on the call, will not go back to nav or radio. I have to disconnect the blue tooth on my phone to get back to normal.

Never happened before 4.0.2 ?

I'm not having any problems with mine in the M5. Sounds a bit odd, have you tried a reset?

they were great, picked up on tuesday lunch and gave me a new one by friday.

do you have any updates on yours?

RESULT!!!!
If i ever said anything bad about o2 , i take it back - at least for now.
Phone came back.
Fixed:)
Ive noticed new charge port.
So maybe as there might be damage to it and as i could get spare part from bay for few $
They fixed it foe frew
.
Or maybe there was no water damage at all. And phone stopped charging was just bad luck?

Am happy with my nexus :)

No need for galaxy 3 or one x :)

yeah o2 did me well with a swap. you sure its the same phone? you could ask for a report of what they have done

Might do...cant find scratches on screen i had earlier...casing is old and mine;)
Under battery compartment looked bit different( i think) darker..
But my sim unlock code worked so imei is same...
Now am on 4.0.1 again...phone is not finding update...wouldnt surprise me if they uploaded yakju again...
And they locked bootloader...

And they locked bootloader...

Yeah mine was a new one for sure. I had to unlock again. I too had the volume bug and could not find update. Rooted, unlocked and flashed 404

Had my first proper crash on Friday.

On the phone to someone and it totally killed the touch screen, the power button/volume ones worked but nothing else. Ended up having to pull the battery to fix it.

Since going to 4.0.4 OTA update the phone seems to be very laggy in typing in browsers now.

Android 4.0.4

Folks,
My current version is 4.0.2 and it looks like it is the stock version.
I know there is a 4.0.4 out there.
I have tried system update but it always says it is up to date.
How do I update my android os to the latest version, it seems that the auto update is not doing anything.
Thanks
PEter

I did this on my stock 4.0.2 (yakju):

The 4.0.4 factory image has changed since it was done.

There are numerous guides here:

If you run into problems then ask for help in there.

Hi guys, I just got one of these this week and I'm wondering the best way to get root on a stock phone?

I'm happy with the stock rom and stuff for the moment but would like root access for some apps. As a side question, would rooting stop me from getting over the air updates? it did on my Desire but I'm not sure with this phone.

Thanks!

My Nexus is currently on 4.0.2 and keeps flashing up with a message to update to 4.0.4. I've followed the instructions on screen, and tried to update numerous times and the phone restarts and then just hangs on the startup screen and just displays the Google logo.

I've left it overnight once as I thought it just needed more time, but it was still like that in the morning.

Also tried a factory reset but it did the same thing.

I end up having to take the battery out to get the phone back on properly. :/

Any advice? To be honest I'm quite happy staying on 4.0.2 but the update message is getting annoying.

OK, so it seems that Samsung have taken my log, then created a build based on it, then are running it in a lab. They have said that the software has not caused loss of signal, this would indicate that i have a defective modem, rather than bad software. They are hopefully going to give me a new unit, so if you have the dropped signal issue, it probably means a hardware issue. Im annoyed really, as i would have sent it back sooner had i known it was a hardware issue.
