First of all phones4u not knowing when the phone is out shouldn't be surprising. I'm surprised they even know how to use a phone considering some of the people they employ!

The truth is there are huge displays up saying Galaxy Nexus in their stores. No way they put those up 10 days before the release date as that is a waste of space where they can't display anything else.

They will have the nexus this week. I'm sure of it. They probably won't even know until it's on the display but it will be there.

Exactly this. Most of the staff are trained monkeys and haven't got a clue. They will have been told to put the displays up as it's due very shortly. They won't have a clue themselves though, lol.

The end of the week is only the 12th, not the 17th. So are you saying there's a chance that P4U might have before the 17th?

There is no chance. I laughed when the bloke said try at the end of the week. I responded, “that means no chance doesn’t it”, to which he nodded sheepishly. I left at that point.

Contract doesn't run out till January but I can early upgrade now.

Samsung are sending pre-orders to phones4u from their official Facebook page.

Phones4u are salesmen. Plane and simple. They are not going to give up a display that is 6ft tall by several feet wide for 10 days with nothing on it. They are losing
valuable sales space.

Add the fact that Samsung want you to preorder from them now it seems a certainty.
