*** The Official Google Nexus 7 Thread ***

This was looking to be a 10/10 tablet for me personally but it has no MicroSD slot, no HDMI and now it doesn't support MHL :(

The MicroSD slot could be worked around I guess but not being able to connect it to any external displays is kind of annoying.

Really good price for a basic tablet though, impressed by Google!
 
Would people really output to another display? Cant see a reason where I would at all. With every passing day my wallet shouts at me more for not buying this....
 
I was tempted to order one of these but then discovered that Flash isn't supported in Android 4.1?

Will there be any way to view flash content via this tablet?
 
I pre-ordered the 8GB yesterday. Been wanting a small tablet for some time but most usually don't quite hit the mark. This ones perfect except for the lack of SD card slot and HDMI.
 
it is a shame about the lack of SD support within the nexus range. i know they are pushing us towards the cloud and so on, but just have a sd with read only access for music and video dumping would have been sooooooooooo sweet. still ordered and still think its a great value and excited!

I take my Asus tablet to hotels/holidays/presentations and use the HDMI out. People look at me like I'm some kind of technical wizard in meetings but aside from that it seems to work nearly all the time. Samsung TVs for some reason hate it though, not sure why.

It says in my order confirmation email that they don't charge until it is shipped, but i never trust them statements anyway.

True. The cloud is great and what not, but when I use my devices away from my home, I am actually unlikely to be in an area with wi-fi coverage. Normally fishing or something like that. Still could do with a bit more capacity.

Well, my bank has just confirmed that they tried to take the full amount from my bank. It wasn't in there so it couldn't go through. So they are lying basically.

Google Play seems to kick up a hell of a lot of fraud prevention measures as well.

They precharge the account they don't take the money but if you don't have enough credit in tyhe account or an overdraft facility then the bank probebly would'nt allow the transaction.
