Yes I made that tweak a few weeks back and saw a mild improvement...Anyone else make the animation times shorter in developing options. I find it so much smoother since I played with the options

Security > smart lock > trusted face.
Yeah I had that feature enabled on my Pixel XL however as it could be unlocked by a photo of me I scrapped it. No doubting it's usefulness but if your phone needs to be as secure as possible then not ideal.I never noticed that there
I've gave it a wee go, but prefer the fingerprint unlock. I've had a Pixel since the first release and it's just intuitive to unlock like that now.

I only use it because my fingerprint barely works at the moment - constantly got client hands and it just refuses to work
Try cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol
Switch phone off first and use as high a %age as you can find, and scrub it with a cloth or similar with the alcohol dabbed on.
My finger print reader was terrible but since doing that several months ago I rarely have an issue now.
Done that, didn't make a difference :/
Maybe yours has an actual problem then rather than just a dirty sensor![]()
Just the launcher, unfortunately, and you can already do this just by selecting a dark or light wallpaper, or by using a hacky workaround of a live wallpaper that allows you to select a custom wallpaper and override the automatic selection. It’s not really a proper dark mode, and google have already ruled it outLooks like you'll be able to pick between a Dark and Light theme soon.

I've had speaker distortion ever since I got my 2XL in November last year, and I recently compared it with a friend's phone. She has no speaker distortion.
So over the last week I've been emailing Google back and forth asking for an RMA. However they've just told me that their engineers are aware of this problem and "a fix is in progress". Anyone think this sounds a bit like they're fobbing me off? I'm just not sure how a fix like this takes over 7 months to produce, since there were widespread reports at launch of this issue...
Keep persisting with a RMA, The phone I sent back on Saturday had distortion on the bottom speaker, Didn't really bother me much to be fair, But the replacement I have received has zero distortion.
Yes same here but I'm on the beta P which might be the reason?Has anyone been getting any problems with their Pixel 2 (mines an XL) with Bluetooth pairing? Mine wants to keep re-pairing with my car for no apparent reason. It'll work fine for a while, and then suddenly it'll 'forget' the pairing and try to re-pair.
