My case arrived today, very pleased with it
The lining inside is nice, the fit on the phone is excellent without adding too much bulk, it's stopped the phone being extreeeeemly slippery in my hand, I had a constant fear of dropping it while it was naked!
The power button colour accent is a nice touch and the volume rocker just fades away almost unseen while still remaining tactile enough.
There is a nice protection lip if you put the phone face down, although it's not very deep compared to other cases on the market. Overall I'm pleased, and although it's not cheap the £10 Spigen case I have for my Pixel XL lasted me for my full 2 year contract so I should imagine this one will too.
Thoughts in general on the phone:
Love the build quality and the screen, the notch for the most part doesn't bother me, although it could still be half the depth! The bezels all sround the phone are in a really nice proportion, only spoiled by how googles software for the gesture controls. More on that in a minute. I noticed no issues with RAM management personally, although I know this was just patched also, and the software feels much quicker and responsive coming from a P1 XL.
The front facing speakers I'm not so sold on yet, at a volume below half YouTube voices/speech will often sound a little muffled, I'm not sure if this is a fault with the device, anyone care to comment how theirs performs? From what I can tell Spotify doesn't display the same audio qualities.
Google really needs to work on the software, there is so much inconsistency across even their own apps. Looking at google Keep
Here is the only app I have seen that implements the gesture controls how I would like to see across all apps, perhaps making it have a transparency on pages with text so the pill remains but I can still be immersed in the full screen size/not lose it to a rectangular box...
ps, can someone at Overclockers change a line of code so the top bar colour matches the forums instead of staying white please

Overall I'm happy that the P3 XL is the right phone for me, having given serious consideration to an iPhone XSMax as an alternative I came to realize that I like lots about googles apps and the android system and it seems that a lot of googles apps don't quite work the same on an iPhone.
