Though with just the shaders unlocked, keeping the VRAM timings at stock 6950 no artifacting at least.

Id say you could clock those 280's a bit more yet, had one that ran 714/1251/1504, no dx 11 but still very decent cards.![]()
by shaders unlocked you mean going from 6950 to 6970 via bios mod?
Nope, it is a 6950 BIOS, but with the shaders unlocked. So everything is the same as a 6950 only it has 1536 shaders like the 6970.
