I've found my Touchstone to be a bit temperamental. I've used the charger than came with the Touchstone and the one that came with the Touchpad. Once it starts charging it seems fine though. (TBH - not sure I'd recommend the Touchstone, unless the exhibition mode is some thaat matters to you.)

Sorrry to state the obvious. I got my TS charging my TP by twisting the charger apart and re-assembling it (nice and tight). Also, make sure the USB is pushed in tight. Like I say, obvious, but worked for me.

Yeah, tried it all. Annoyingly bought it back in august when drops where first announced. Not sure if CPW will take it back!

So logged into the palm chat and chatted to the lovely Patricia E!.....
After a simple "can you plug charger to the USB and then to the touchpad" I told her it was charging and she diagnosed a defective touchstone...she's now creating an order for a new one! Let's hope!

Edit: Using the facebook tablet app in exhibition mode for now, really swish!

I think it's pretty fast.

This. From dead to full in about 4 hours so it is about half as fast as normal charging but 4 hours is fine with me and normally I have more than 50% charge left when I put it on anyway.

i put my tp on the ts in the morning at 60% and by lunchtime it was at 68%

Also, how do you use exhibition mode?

Settings > exhibition mode > select which you'd like or find more.

I really like the facebook one.

After that:

Install UberKernal from Preware
Install Govnah from Preware
Open Govnah, select OnDemandTCL 1512 Profile
Close Govnah

Hmmmm when I try to install Preware on my PC it starts and I click install Preware but then says I need to install Novacom, according to the link above the installer should install Novacom and I just let it but it never prompts to install it, it just says it needs to be installed?

I had that, had to use this link to install the drivers:

Also to get access to the developer mode icon the 'updown' stuff didn't work for me either, had to use 'webos20090606'.

Apart from that, that guide worked well for me.

Exhibition mode should start automatically as soon as you place it on the touchstone, unless you have it disabled in options or something. Pressing the power button while it's on the touchstone should also switch it to exhibition if it isn't already.

Unfortunately it sounds like something isn't right with yours as there's no way it should be that slow

how do you place it on it? i don't have one but from what i've read it can only go up (screen on button at top right) or left to correctly charge. maybe this is the issue

Got it all updated and overclocked, cheers guys.

Smoother than stock now but still not as smooth as an iPad or my Galaxy S II.

When the Galaxy Note comes out I will see how it fares and if it's going to be worth trading both TouchPad and Galaxy S II in for a Note I think.

Damn, I just had a look at mine and there is a crack by the speakers... I knew it was common but it really does seem like a very common feature...
