My touchstone arrived today, when I first out the touchpad on it it automatically cut to the full screen clock, which I thought was a good idea, now though it is not doing it? any ideas

What have people found so far to be the best way to transfer files from their PC?

As mentioned on other sites the USB connector seems like it might be slightly flimsy, so can you connect to a Windows share?
Can you transfer files by Bluetooth? - I've not been able to work out how to do this yet.

Hi Greebo - my current broadband speeds mean that the Box.net cloud storage isnt that great for transferring big video files.

I might just be being paranoid, but I've found the USB connector on the touchpad to be slightly loose already after just a few charges, and not sure how HP would be able to honour any warranty replacements once all the stock has gone.

I have only connected it twice to transfer films as I use a touchstone for charging. I think HP get it fixed after you send it off. They will have spare parts for some time.

Honeycomb is a no go as google won't release the source code, so ics it'll have to be before i make the switch.

But since this isn't Honeycomb... what is the point? Tablets running 2.x are dire, just a large phone? I'd dual boot with Honeycomb in a heartbeat, I am not gonna bother with 2.x though.
The browser in webos is awful which is a shame as it's one of the two things I use it for. I could create a boring list of problems/bugs/niggles I've found with it since I got it. AND IT BOUNCES FROM SIDE TO SIDE. WHY? WHY DOES IT DO THIS HP?!

As an owner of quite a few tablets I actually use my Gingerbread ones (Galaxy Tab and HTC Flyer) more than any others. It's a perfectly suitable OS for a tablet, in fact in some ways more so when it comes to working apps etc. I think this whole 'It's a mobile phone OS so is **** on a tablet' was started by some tech review sites and people repeat it ad nauseam on forums without actually having any sustained user experience themselves.

just a thought. is there going to be a back key on the screen when honeycomb is on the tablet? so far i use the back key for almost everything ido on my sgs2 and honeycomb isn't designed (from what i can see) to be used without an actual back button so nagivating menus may be a pain.

edit- just realise I may gave meant gingerbread. Whichever one is on my sgs2

I guess they will implement something like long press, or utilise the volume buttons.

hope so but not with the volume keys as I use it upside down so the speakers don't cut into my hand so they in an awkward to reach area

tell you what sure would like a scrollbar
