Ola, :D

I had a One, was gutted when I dropped it and cracked the scree, I then got an S4 but it wasn't the same, thank god for a little brother looking for a Samsugn, I'm happily back on a lovely blue One.

I'm just wondering what mobile world will bring next month, can htc excel themselves and top the One.

It's an easy task for them. They have perfected the form factor and design.

5" screen, Qualcomm 800 cpu, 3000mah battery and an 8MP Ultra-Pixel camera and it's job done. That is all they need to do.

The gimmicks on the S4 which I eventually disabled just became a hindrance in the end, in a wacky eastern sort of way. Like those mad hats with the umbrellas on.

Do you have Blinkfeed enabled?

Disabled that already but kind of miss it, even though I fail to see it's purpose. I am worried it misses off content, or gets lost.

I had a Htc one. Loved the design but the camera was very poor so went to a S4. If they could chuck a decent cam into the mix then they would have the perfect phone imo. I dont like the s4 but I need a decent camera on the phone so was forced to change!

The camera is great. All you need to do is lower saturation.

Far better for indoors shots. Only the Lumia beats it.

You've just about got it there with the 5" screen, Qualcomm 800 CPU and 3000mah battery. As long as they don't bodge it like they did on the One Max, I had One Max for about 4 days, it only lasted that long as I couldn't get to the post office quicker to send it back. I'd spent 20 minutes trying to get the back to sit properly and thought I'm not having that at £500 +.

As you can't delete blinkfeed I've moved it over to the far left, that way I can dip in to it if I want.

5" screen would be OK so long as they kept the bezel to an absolute minimum. would have course end up being larger so doubt I'd be interested really. Seems to be the trend for high end phones.

I've been really pleased with my HTC One which I bought when the Moto X looked to be unavailable last back end. Well I say pleased but it started boot looping again and now given up altogether. Booked in to go back to HTC - who have been quite helpful so far. After owning both HTC One S and X and both being absolute rubbish at holding a signal (in my area) I swore I'd never buy an HTC again. Reviews of the One having very good signal reception turned out to be true thankfully and mine has been as good as any Motorola I've owned in the past. Apart from being bigger physically I'm not sure how the next generation 'One' can be a lot better? Not like the current One struggles in any department. Maybe a bigger battery? Still, tech marches ever onwards :D

Now I'll have to wait patiently whilst my One is repaired. It'll maybe come back loaded with 4.4

You can remove blinkfeed mate.

Pinch the screen to bring up the home screen selection menu, in the top left corner you can click on the small blue icon. It will disable it.

I am indeed, yeah...

Sorry for the late reply. I would try a factory reset first to see if that fixes it, But I remember that I had that audio issue with GPE, I tried SinLess & ARHD both were the same. I recommend not using SinLess Rom though! I have a folder that refuses to delete no matter what I do, All it contains is stupid wallpapers.

Do you have xposed/gravitybox on top?

Thanks, there's nothing to be gained by it though. The page will go but you don't get an empty page to use, your just down to 5 pages rather than 6.

If you could loose it and get a blank page that would be great. Let's hope 4.0 with sense 5.5 (or whatever they call it) will bring that function.

You could always just use a different launcher?

This. You may lose the transparent notification bar but the 4.4.2 update brings that back (which should hopefully be next week). And you can easily theme it as the stock Sense launcher if you really like the look of it.

I moved over to Maximum ROM and it seems to have solved the audio issue. The SIM card problem still seems to be there so I fear it may be hardware related.

I elected not to install xposed this time.

You can delete pages afaik.

pinch the screen then touch and hold the page you want to delete then drag it up to the delete option?

Recently bought a Black HTC one

Wrapped up in a Incipio CF case and a Spigen tempered glass screen protector. Lovely phone and feels so good to use compared to the S3 I had especially after the recent disaster of an update that was 4.3

I bought a Spigen glass screen protector for my HTC One. Somehow it feels smoother than the original screen! After 2 months the protector was still mint. I'd never use a plastic screen guard again :D I've read there are much cheaper glass guards available which are supposed to be just as good but the only ones I could find when I looked on Ebay were in China which for the odd things I've bought takes the best part of a month to be delivered. I do have a skin on mine. It's a Glow in the Dark Luminous Plastic TPU Gel Case off of Ebay (China) and does have plugs for audio and usb jacks which is handy for me working in a dusty environment. Power button is also covered with a raised button but this may affect the IR blaster (I never tried it though). It also glows slightly in the dark around the edges on skin

Mine One has gone back to HTC and hoping the Spigen is still on when it is eventually returned. I suppose I could have taken it off but didn't fancy the job! For sure there would be dust underneath next time it was attached.
