***The Official HTC One Thread***

I've given up with my HTC one, it's now completley bricked because the battery ran too far down! This is after they told me my warranty was void on a completely untouched phone because a problem with the ota did something to the bootloader, so there only option then was to root the thing (althoigh that worked absolutely flawlessly)
But supposedly if the battery gets "too flat" it will never charge again... That was the guy on htc's support that said that!

Will not be getting another

I had that once on my HO, left it plugged in for a full day or so and it just started to work, maybe try usb charging if the mains doesn't work at first aswell as the usual button combos maybe?

I had that issue a few times with mine, keeping it on charge for ages & pressing buttons eventually brings it back to life.

I tried GPE lollipop before I sold mine it was very stable for me, Couldn't change the buttons though!

Have tried everything, there's a few threads on XDA about it but nothing has worked, was on charge for a full 5 days and still nothing!

Hey mate, have you tried cleaning the micro usb port on the HO?

My bro had a problem with his charging and gave the port a good clearning to fix it. Worth a shot if you've not tried yet.

No news on 5.0? everyone seemed to expect it to drop early Jan did they not?

From HTC's 90 day target the final day would be 1st Feb, there's still a couple of weeks left to go. The M8's Lollipop update is rumoured to be within a week's time, hopefully the M7's update won't be that far off.

Got yourself another one? How is it?

I really want to get an M7 for some reason but I've just got the M8 for now :p

Really enjoying it, I haven't removed the protective wrapping yet as I want to get a case and a screen protector because I'm OCD about damaging it

Either way, the speakers are amazing (even with the protector!) and the screen is beautiful.

I've also got a nearly perfect model with no scratches, marks, screen misalignment issues, etc. so I'm pleased with that.

Tempted by one myself as I found the phone ideal for my needs. Is the pink camera issue on a few devices or them all?

a few. I think it was just early batches reacting to heat. HTC were aware of it and changed the hardware to combat it.

So the M7 is next on their list, the M8 update is out for some regions so hope to see ours soon.
Lets hope the carriers dont hog it.
