*** The official HTC One X thread ***

Thanks for the confirmation guys, I was worried about the battery but I'm not anymore, I just hope my screen does not have the flickering issue, any of you got that? I know Robbo doesn't

Haha I know you did, lol

Thanks for all your help everyone :D

I had the flickering issue for a very short while when I first got it. However the OTA update was available immediately which I applied and it hasn't come back since.

Oh that's good then, I thought you had to swap phones if you had an affected one

Hopefully mine will be up to date as it is not actually a new one, as my current phone is a refurb, the One X I'm getting will be a refurb too, so hopefully if it was going to have any issues that was the reason the person returned it, so they will have already been fixed by the time I get it

Just out of interest, so I can mention to O2 that they need to send me these things as well as the phone, as it won't be in an original box it will just be in a cardboard box with the phone, what else did you all get with your One X's??

- Phone
- Manuals / Paperwork
- Charger
- USB Cable
- Headphones (Did you get Beats by Dre ones or standard ones?)

Is there anything else I should get with it?

No, that's all. You'll probably get the standard headphones unless told otherwise, not everywhere is doing the Beats ones.

Okay, and I haven't spoken to them yet, they rung me earlier as it is still out of stock, but if I ask, especially as my current phone is a BB (I know it's the same micro usb charger, but still, would be nice to have HTC things if I ever sell it), should they give me a HTC charger and standard pair of headphones right?

I assume you'll get everything as you would if it was new, but I'm not sure.

Not unless I ask I don't think, lol

Because I spoke to someone on the phone (not the guy I'm actually dealing with), but he said it will be the phone and battery (so for a One X just the phone then, lol) in a cardboard box, but he said to talk to the guy dealing with it, and he might be able to sort me out a charger, so I'll ask for some headphones too.

Are the headphones necessary? To help with my story of me needing them lol, not Beats ones, just standard ones, are they needed for an antenna or anything?

You need the headphones plugged in for the FM Radio to work (as an antenna).

Okay, will ask for some headphones then too :)

Out of interest, is there a part of the cable that is just the antenna and then a 3.5mm jack that the headphones then plug in to? So you can use the antenna then a different pair of headphones of your choice?

Like Samsungs used to do if that helps my explanation lol

Just called them to see if it was in stock yet, the guy left me a voicemail in the morning but I thought they might have had another delivery

They said the next delivery for HTC One X's is on Thursday, so I should have mine by Friday :)

Doe's the One X handle HD MKV's ok?

My S does so I can imagine so. Just done a deal for an X with a guy on AVForums so I can give it a whirl. Loving my S but think I really really want the bigger screen (and if it's generally as snappy then I'll be keeping the X :D). Just a shame that we aren't getting the XL or I'd hold out for that...

It has the better internals/hardware (except still has 16GB of internal storage, not 32GB) but with the X's screen and battery, unfortunately not the same body as the S though, same case as the X.

So essentially the S but with the X's screen :D

I've just tried the Galaxy Nexus headphones and they work, so I assume any mobile phone headphones should work at least.

It should work with any headphones, I use standard in ear headphones and they have been fine with multiple phones.

All you need is some metal for the antenna.
