*** The official HTC One X thread ***

Supposedly these are the sense V4.1 changes for the international one X:

Well, all that’s about to change. Sense 4.1 RUU has been leaked (version number 2.15.401.5) , and after some testing, we found the following fixes:

Live wallpaper lag has been fixed
There’s a dedicated button in the Camera app to switch between Front/Backward facing cameras. (earlier you’d have to go into the menu for that.)
A dedicated button to switch tabs in the browser. (You’d have to go into the menu for that, too)
Complete removal of all 3D-Effects in the launcher leading to a completely lag-free experience.
Probably the most important- Rebased on Android 4.0.4
Added ability to remap the recent apps button/ Long-press recent apps/ Long-press Home as Menu. (yes, it removes the Virtual menu bar) under Settings->Display, Gestures and Buttons
New, blazing fast kernel. We mean it. It scored a pretty impressive 59oo+ in Quadrant benchmark (compared to 5100+ on Sense 4)
Wifi-dropping/ Icon showing weak signal Fixes.
Better Battery life- 5 Hour+ Screen-on time as compared to a measly 3 Hour+ on Sense 4.

Currently there is only one ROM available based on it by xda-developer football (anybody who’s hacked an HTC device must know him) , and more are on the way. Download it here.

Note: This is ONLY for the International Tegra 3 HTC One X.

Well well well, this is interesting.

After my first day use of the MaXimus 2.2 ROM - the one with Sense 4.1 and the new radios - I have to say that the signal issue is drastically reduced. I've made the same journeys today that usually result in Emergency Only errors, and have had none. Very interesting indeed.

I'll monitor tomorrow and see how it goes, but initial results are positive!

Glad to hear that! :)

Sounds like one of the main issues on both the S and X have been fixed then

What about the battery life? Has it improved as much as what was quoted there?

Hard to tell because I only flashed it this morning. I'll take some screenshots before it dies tonight and report back. Still, it'll be tomorrow before it settles really.

Ok, thanks :)

Will be very interesting to see if it has improved with sense 4.1 and the new radio, if it has actually increased to what has been said then one of the main disadvantages of the X is no longer an issue  and plus it might mean that the S will also get an increase in battery life with the new sense update etc. (fingers crossed! :p)

Right, initial charge wasn't much better than before, and so far today, the results look the same.

It doesn't really show any info. that screenshot about the apps etc. :p e.g. games, media streaming etc.

If you manually adjusted the screen brightness you could maybe squeeze another like 20 minutes from one charge.

Still though, rather disappointing, wonder how the hell that guy got an extra 2 hours on screen time with the new sense etc. though

My battery life isn't that bad on CM10 from Team NDVRU, but then I'm not using a lot of apps. Facebook app is the worst for draining battery I've found, and it's been tonnes better since I switched to using the mobile site.

As for the One X +, I'm hoping that the Tegra + chipset is a die shrink, as the heat kicked out at stock frequencies is terrifying as is!

No games, no streaming. I was trying to make it last.

I seem to be getting a hell of a lot of slow down on my phone at the moment. This is despite going through four factory resets and flashing different ROMs over the past four days.

Does anyone now if external SD can cause slow down? I have a suspicion that external SD is causing the issue.
