That's a DiDA sim not a GiffGaff sim.... :s
So you need these network settings...

Internet APN three.co.uk or mbb.minternet.net Connects your mobile to the DiDa Mobile network for web, email etc

I think the username and password will be blank.

Will try that thanks.

How come?

Howcome the block? Don't know but it would seem there's been some kind of dispute or falling out between Three and Dida which has lead to these pre-paid SIMs no longer functioning.

The seller is giving full refunds on them without dispute though which is good.

Contacted the seller, so I'll see what happens.
Thanks

This caught me out a week or so back. Sat on the train one morning, got iPad out of bag to see "NO SERVICE". Assumed dodgy cell site. Got to work, tried again, same result. Assumed there was some big Three outage, but then noticed my colleague using his iPad with genuine Three SIM with no issues.

Began to wonder if my iPad was broken!

Getting a bit confused as never used a PAYG sim/device before.

Let's say these 3gb / 90 day sims from Three, are people tossing them and getting new ones after the amount is used up (or expires), or topping the same one up again?

It seems topping up 3gb costs 15 quid, and lasts only 30 days, or 10 quid for 1gb, no matter where you buy the original sim from, unless I misunderstand how they work (quite possible!).

With the Three pre-paid ones, I believe you can top them up but it'd be cheaper to toss it and buy another pre-paid one. It'll have a different number of course but, as we're only using it for data, that's not relevant really :)

When data expires or time does you bin them and buy another.
Topping up will mean you pay more for less.

I have given in, I'm getting an iPad this weekend :D I'm going to Leicester High Cross Apple Store, mainly because I work on a rota, and if I miss the delivery it could be over a week before I can go pick it up! Plus I don't like waiting :)

This will be my first Apple product since the iPod Touch first came out, which I still have and use to this day :)

Can't wait :D I'll be getting the 16GB Wifi model, undecided on white or black yet though.

I forgot to post this when I got it, had it on my iPad 3 for a few weeks now. It looks quite nice and it means I can shove it in my bag without fear of scratching up the back.

It's the Gelaskin Motherboard design, I've only put the back part on though. http://www.gelaskins.com/store/tablets_and_ereaders/iPad_3rd_2nd_Gen/Motherboard

Holy moly RobH, that's nice. Blonde mode here but I guess that's the inside of an iPad that case is depicting? How much was the case? Does it have a name?

No, it's just a regular motherboard! :p

It's not really a case either, but a skin you apply to the iPad itself.
