One thing that stands out is that web sites will need to update their images. Text is super sharp but the low res of web images stands out.

first app installed - firemint real racing HD with the ipad retina display update......and holy jesus on a jetplane... IT LOOKS aaaaaammmmaazing ;-)
 
After some begging and pleading with my brilliant wife managed to raise the funds, walked into a local PC store and walked out with a 32gb wifi. In fact I am posting on it now!

Who needs to pre-order!

They had loads in stock too as everyone walking out of the store had a bag with a white box in it!
 
Selfish monkeys post some post codes so we know where it's doing it's rounds...just "it has arrived" is completely and utterly useless to those of us hanging on the door knob!

It does work well and plays a blu-ray rip of The Hangover without issue. It is a small file at 15gig so it may not be able to cope with higher bit rate 1080p rips. It plays everything thing else I have flung at it.

I plan on jailbreaking it anyway and installing VLC/XBMC and iFile so I can copy/play files from SD cards.

now waiting for apple tv from usa and it ready to go :D
 
So UPS have already been to our work at about 7:30 and my iPad wasn't on there, even though it's been out for delivery since 5am
