Well

Ive just run over my macbook!

yes with a car,
I was getting all my stuff out the car ready for a trip three floors upstairs when the phone goes, my car has been in the garage, women just tells me my new car needs over £1000 worth of work done! so me in a ranging state decide to head to the garage right then.
so i get back in the car and start reversing out to head to the garage.
what did i forget? laptop back outside car.... CRUnCH

so its still works... i am trying on it just now :) although the screen is bust big time, :(
 
so i guess i have found a new desktop mac... since the screen is not really usable but everything else seems good

Have you gotten a quote as to how much a new screen will cost? I don't suppose your warranty coverage extends to user error such as this unless you bought some explicitly.

nah i dont think i will bother.. i may just sell it on, its only 6 weeks old ! its got three years apple care on it but i doubt that would cover it
 
just moved into a new flat a few days ago... last week i emailed the landlord to find out the postcode so i could sort out some home insurance..he never got back to me... and since ive moved in here things have been.. well mental.. never did get around to it

no tbh i couldn't.. it was an expensive few minutes there, the most expensive so far!


yeah i am defo going to replace this. maybe macbook pro this time.. just to treat myself :)
Folks think it may be covered under there home insurance tho which if it is would really be amazing.

yeah at least i didn't run over myself! e17 stylie.. bones heal at least! to be fair its only a thing and things can be replaced :)

so what do you think i should do with it if i cant claim/how much would it be worth. its the reason before last update only 8 weeks old 250gig hd and 4gb ram 2 ghz c2d

O yeah and a big thanks for the messages of support! Ahem!

As you can see the screen took the brunt of the damage, while the case is almost perfect!

Also i think i have found a new TFT for £100 so i should be back in action!

Will update with screen fitting sesh pics when that goes down.
Please resize the pics to something smaller or just link them

yeah think replacing the screen sounds like the best option since its the cheapest :)

yeah i would have resized the pics but i am on a minimal setup here atm, and dont know the UBB code to resize. o well
