So basically, LG have done a Motorola and wrecked the phone from a software point of view.
Im not an LG fan at all, this isn't going to change anything. This phone may, however, be saved by the community, if you can get a flawless stock Gingerbread running on it, it'd be fairly decent.
So, another rubbish Android handset... next![]()
) Overall Motos Android implementation works well and is very reliable. This LG looks properly buggy not just laggy
Every video I have seen it never looks smooth moving around the home pages which is worrying.
Hopefully LG will read the reviews and add that as an option to download and flash, or someone from LG will 'leak' it...Its going to need a bit more than Launcher pro by the sound of it
This with a stock Gingerbread ROM working flawlessly as I said above will be quite a formidable phone though I'd imagine.
and normal res too.surely they would find it easier to push out updates as well?
I would love to see one of these companies just bring out a stock pure android phone and see there sales saw.
Plus it is LG, after the Viewty... never again.
I'm keeping an eye on the HTC yeah, if anything it will be XDA's choice I guess.
They won’t do it because to them the brand alone isn’t a USP and without their added crap they won’t convince your average punter to buy the phone. Benchmarks are there just for geeks, the vast majority of the buying public don't give two hoots. It’s a shame but one can only hope that one day they will release a vanilla product but somehow I can’t see it happening.
