Can they get a final GM duplicated in vast enough quantities packaged and distributed around the world to meet the (what I assume is very high) demand in 14 days?

I sure hope so, it's excellent news. :D

I am guessing they have all of the packaging ready to have the discs inserted so it wont be that big a job, then it is onto the lorries and to the stores! Woohooo!

Yea, im sure all the books and boxes etc are ready.

I even bet the DVDs are printed! Just waiting for the data to be put on them!

Come on 10.5!

You release that so long as your within 14 days of the new OS coming out they'll just send you a free upgrade :)

I'm guessing if you ordered on the 25th they'd ship it with Leopard though.

I bought a Mac mini today from the Apple Store in Manchester (Trafford Centre). So, if Leopard is out on the 27th, I qualify for the free upgrade? Do I ring them or will I just get it sent to me?

You'll probably get a coupon in the box for the free upgrade.

If not, ring Apple :)

God this wait is killing me!!!

I want my MBP god dammit!

FFS put a 200Gb HD in it, what the hell is the point of having a bigger faster external HD FFS!

Grrrrr

Come on 10.5! :D lol

They won't be updating the MacBook Pros until nearer Christmas/New Year.

The MacBook is likely to see an update, but I haven't heard of updates for the MBP

..I share your pain though, my 160GB 7200rpm drive feels tiny.. although I can't say 200GB (187GB formatted) would make a world of difference.

No I didn't get a coupon, maybe this is because of the unconfirmed/rumoured release date? It would be a giveaway etc.

Shall i ring Apple when the release date is confirmed?

The date looks to be the 26th, IE. Friday next week. Apple store dude said defiantly this month...

Also apparently no plans for a 200gb 7200RPM

*looks into doing it himself*
