Mac OS X 10.5.2. 9C27 Seeded.

Despite hopes for an imminent release, it appears Mac OS X 10.5.2 is not yet ready for public consumption. Last week, Apple released a couple of seeds with "no known issues", but apparently has continued to work on the latest Leopard release.

Today, Apple provided developers with the 9C27 and the seed notes indicate that there are still no known issues.

Apple released the first Mac OS X 10.5 update (10.5.1) only 3 weeks after Leopard's initial launch. 10.5.2 has been particularly anticipated as it introduces a some interface changes along with the usual bug fixes.

Of note, the just-released MacBook Air ships with a version of Mac OS X 10.5.1.

Mac OS X 10.5.2 Not Quite Ready Yet (9C30 Seeded)

Apple has fixed some issues with Time Machine and AFP X Client and bumped Mac OS X 10.5.2 to build 9C30. The latest Mac OS X seed was released to developer's today, only four days behind 9C27. There are "no known issues" in this latest seed.

It seems clear that Apple is putting the finishing touches on Mac OS X, with accelerated developer releases in the hopes of reaching the final build. Due to the continuous bug fixing process, it impossible to predict the release date of the next update to Mac OS X. Historically, however, Apple has released the final build as quickly as one day following the last developer seed (9B18 seeded, 9B18 released).

OS X 10.5.2 (9C31) Seeded, Safari 3.1 Beta Incorporates Latest Webkit Features

Not long now.. 1 day since the last seed :)

I hope they fix safari, its pretty unstable. Well on my MacBook and looking around on other forums I'm not the only one with this problem. Safari just likes to shutdown randomly quite often, quite annoying. Anyone else get this with safari?

I do, its bloody annoying. It started doing it more when I upgraded to 10.5.1.

Did you 'upgrade'?

Don't do the upgrade, a fresh install always work, for any OS.
