When ejecting external HDDs, you don't get any pop-ups anymore. Is it my eyes or the Dock icons and tool menus somehow look clearer to me? Internet browsing on Firefox feels snappier? Time-machine - useful 'running' icon which shows it is running the back-up. I've disabled the transparency menu option under Desktop/Screensaver in System Preferences - transparency gives no benefit whatsoever.
