Ok, a few little changes for the better:

Documents stack folder icons when clicked, are bigger so they're much easier to see.

When ejecting external HDDs, you don't get any pop-ups anymore.

Is it my eyes or the Dock icons and tool menus somehow look clearer to me? :confused:

Internet browsing on Firefox feels snappier?

Time-machine - useful 'running' icon which shows it is running the back-up.

I've disabled the transparency menu option under Desktop/Screensaver in System Preferences - transparency gives no benefit whatsoever.

Needed to be said to make my mind off of the lack of transparency in drop down menus...

I might go for a little dig and see if I can find the setting actually...

Edit: Cool new effect on the login box for incorrect passwords, which probably isn't so helpful as it doesn't tell you your password is wrong.

Has the default menu bar transparency changed too? Sure, mine has a grey sky behind it but I'm sure it used to be more transparent. :(
