By default, this is set to 'Always' and was really annoying me.

Click on the desktop and all the active windows shift to the edge and out of sight.

I’ve not used my MBA on battery yet, will do so on Monday to see how it goes.

One thing I have noticed is how quickly it boots. It’s knocked over ten seconds off the boot time on my Studio.

Also, bluetooth kicks in quicker after a cold start. Previously, I had to hit a key on the keyboard and wait a few seconds for it start working so I could enter my password. Now it’s instant.

I chose not to use that, I don't like fancy wallpapers, mine is just a gray textured background. Is it possible to have the login screen show that scrrensave but not have it for the wallpaper as well?

This annoyed me straight away, fortunately it can be switched off (see post #9 above).

I wish it was as simple as that but it was interrupting my workflow.

If I've got a bunch of windows on screen, one of them has focus and I want a Finder window, I'd click the desktop so the finder has focus and then do cmd-n. If I were to do cmd-n when [for example] Safari has focus. I'd get a new Safari window.

Doesn’t the built in volume control do that? It always has for me.

why is it on Mac Sonoma, when im on the desktop and click, a little grey border comes out and when I click back on desktop it recedes again??

is there a way to turn it off. really annoying me now.

Anyone use the apple mail app? remember reading someone had issues with it on here, after upgrading to Sonoma, just curious if its working ok now , as use this mail app for my emails.

Yes, I've never had a problem with it. Ever.

One thing they do need to fix in the mail is the search. When you search, it switches from the folder you have selected to the entire mailbox and you have to select the folder again. Apart from that, I have no issues.
