I played 200cc in 4 player splitscreen and wasn't a huge fan.
Use your brake when sliding.
200cc requires some thought which contrasts the 150cc attitude of "go as fast as you can everywhere using all boosts possible".

Have been playing the 3DS Mario Kart (MK7) and the original version of this game (the WiiU one) yesterday and I decided to try out the whole '3-star at 150cc to 3-star the same cup on lower cc's' thing. Looks like back in Mario Kart 7, they hadn't come up with it yet, it didn't work there. But in Mario Kart 8 (original) it worked. I did the shell cup in 150cc and it then appeared done for 100cc (had already done the 50cc one). Years on and I'm still learning new things about this game. Also saw a trailer for MK8D that shows there's a 3rd level of the drift-boost now.
If I were to ever get a Switch, I'd for sure buy this game despite owning the WiiU version. Especially since it has my favourite character Dry Bones. I'm now also wondering how many tracks this game has? Up until the WiiU version and it's DLC, Mario kart has always had 8 cups of 4 tracks each for a total of 32 tracks. And I wonder if the tracks are the same ones as in original MK8 or have they mixed in some new/old tracks?
200 if you like - not fussed on the rules / items. What cc?
