no way, the tank controls suck with the D pad lol, analogue all the way, I finished all the tomb raider remakes with the analogue

I was completely useless when trying to play it with an analogue stick with the tank controls
And i tried this with an Xbox gamepad on the PC and on the switch 2 i tried using the joy-con stick and the switch 1 pro gamepad stick

Has anyone here ever heard of 8Bitdo before ?
As they sell a Wireless PS style controller which meant to work with the switch 2 and am wondering if these controllers are any good

I don’t have this one, but I do have the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 controller. It’s very nice, but the rumble is broken in Bananza. It’s far too heavy and feels like an old school motor with a weight attached to the rotor spinning away. I’m not the only one with this problem - https://www.reddit.com/r/8bitdo/s/dvfm1PRo8I

The controller feels high quality though and it’s very comfortable. On balance the Switch 2 Pro Controller is better overall, but the 8BitDo was 2/3 of the price.

For £65 get the Pro controller. You can get 8BitDo products much cheaper on AliExpress.

I'd agree about 8bitdo controllers being very good quality. They never support HD rumble though so you don't get the nuance or range of vibration on the joy con so it just buzzes away on standard motors.

Thinking of getting the Super Mario Galaxy bundle as I've never played them before.

Did you buy it in the end ?

I saw this Galaxy 1&2 bundle game in one of my local shops today for around £42 and thought i look up some reviews of it tonight..
From what i seen of it on youtube in the video below so far it looks pretty good.

Hah. You quoted me at exactly the time I was about to press purchase but the adult in me said spending that this close to christmas was a bad idea. I think I'll wait till January. Defo going to get it at some point.

With me just buying the switch 2 in the Black Friday sales I now of cause need a Mario platform game for it

It also be good for any of my family kids to play that come around over Christmas & New year.

Had a few hours with MP4 Beyond earlier now that I am travelling on holiday. Goodness me it’s a looker even in handheld. Runs so beautifully as well. Can’t actually believe I’m playing something this good on a handheld. Intrigued so far. Love the weird alien world vibe. Very different to the Remaster which I’ve just played through but unmistakably still Metroid.

Switch 2 version/upgrade of Sonic Racing Crossworlds is out, hear it's pretty good and runs 1440p 60fps docked. The demo is only the Switch 1 version though (at least when I tried it a few days ago).

I'd get it if I hadn't had my karting fill recently with MKW.

Mario Odyssey is amazing, but Wonder would be better as a family game for the co-op.

Tempted by Sonic Racing now there's a Switch 2 version, been seeing really good things about it

After searching about this game the switch 2 update for it not meant to come out till spring 2026
I don't really want to buy & play it now and then see this update come out afterwards

On side note i bought Lego bricktales today which is on sale for around £3.85, Shame if doesn't run in a higher resolution

I saw about the update but I wouldn’t let that sway you as it still looks and plays fantastically as it is. The update and extra content will just make you want to do it all again so win win!

Also am not sure if it going be just an update or a whole new SW2 game as it looks to be a lot more then just a simple graphics update like the other games had.

You'll be able to pay a little to upgrade the game, like with the Switch 2 editions of the Zeldas, Kirby Forgotten Land and Mario Party.

Kirby and Mario Party got more content/modes too.
