Pre-ordered mine couple of hours ago with EE went with the pro controller and memory card pack for £500, I'll buy Mario Kart World at a later date.

Yeah totally unnecessary. I am just going to keep using my original pro controller which is still a very nice controller.

I love back paddles because I have rsi in my right thumb, using a controller without the paddles I can't play for long. If game controllers didn't get these rear buttons, then by now I'd have already gone back to mouse and keyboard gaming exclusively

But for most people who want the rear buttons it's because of FPS games - your performance goes up when you only have to use your thumb for the camera and never have to take the thumb off the camera joystick - that's why it's called a pro controller I guess

Back paddles, no C button, and the old Pro controller doesn't wake up the Switch 2 from sleep.

Apparently the old Switch console has a separate RF protocol that the controller had built in, whereas the new hardware uses modern conventional Bluetooth 3.0

Trying to resist the pro controller I will see how I get on with the old one and/or if I even play it much docked. Last few years my Switch has been 100% a portable handheld anyway. A Picross machine basically.
