***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Popped into the Lego shop at the weekend and my daughter ended up picking one of the new mining sets.

Whilst on eBay last week grabbing minifigs for my daughter I also picked up one of these for a bargin price:- http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=8479-1

Motor doesn't work but that should be an easy fix, other than that all the other electronics work. 15 year old set that I've always thought was pretty cool.

I had that truck years and years ago. Really wish I could rebuild it but doubt I could locate all the pieces.

I did get the VW Camper and put that together. Great model and great build. Really enjoyed it. Would love to buy the Carousel sometime soon!

I don't know if anybody has seen this, but this is by far the most amazing thing I have seen in Lego form:

Just, brilliant.

The following both have pull back motors in, the frame at the back holds them in place and starts them together

just a heads up the sun lego starts this saturday 27th , i think the ones they are giving away are the best ones yet, they are redeemable in smiths and toys r us

presumably you dont have to redeem one a day, and you can keep them all until the last day and get them all?

You have to get them daily, but some smiths I had been going to will let you have them from previous days if you have the voucher and they have them left in stock . The smiths were I was going to we're sticking by the rules for about a day and after that the staff seem to have given up and started letting people have as many as they wanted instead of one per customer, I think they use to be only redeemable on the day but the last run of Lego they done it said two days to redeem .

It is, each module just gets better and better, each more imaginative and all perfectly timed and automated. Utterly, utterly pointless, but at the same time, genius and brilliant.

I bet it took significantly longer to design and build than is claimed. 600 hours build time, but must have been ages to design. I bet it cost a small fortune too.

That machine is awesome! At first I thought it was going to sort the balls, but that's just much more mental!
I want to make one.... Need to borrow all my lego back off of my parents, not that I could make something a 1/4 as big!
