I really do not like that X-wing.
It just doesn't look ucs grade to me. Also. Nose looks a little short. Probably one of the models I'd have bought as its not just boring grey. But doesn't sit right.

Agreed, if not being pointed out it was UCS, i'd think it was a standard set, just feels 'off'

The piece count isn't super high, I suppose to keep price down? But for ucs I'm expecting equivalent to imperial shuttle, tie fighter, falcon I have. This looks half way between ucs and cheap generic set.

It looks like the equivalent of the Technic 1:10 Peugeot.

For me it therefore doesn't have a place. I'd rather it be 300+ and ucs grade than 200 and a half way house.
X-wings look great as display models too. Shame really.
 
Just had another look on lego.com at the X-wing.
Its gone to 60 days order time. So must have been popular enough to sell out. Or lego didn't make many on the first run
