***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Got an opened and built then disassembled lego Technic 9396 Rescue Helicopter for £46 which I'm very pleased about. Guy didn't even use the sticker sheet! Fully boxed with instructions and he even put all the bits back into colour coded bags too!

Ahoi!

I know some of you like the minifigs, Apparantly Argos and the Entertainer have the simpsons ones already, Argos even has them at £2.29.

theres also a handy guide Here as to picking out which is which in the blind bags :)

1.99 in Toymaster
2.50 in ASDA

Tbh you can but the lot cheap enough from ebay and get a full set with none of the hassle for only a few quid more than buying them without the duplicates.

Clearly a casual.

:D

I'm not an anything, I buy toys for my son and enjoy building them with him and have enjoyed watching him learn to read the instructions and assemble them himself.

So if he did want a set of simpsons £49 or best offer and free postage for 16 figures would suit me more than feeling packs up and spending more. If that makes me casual then I am, I prefer tight though myself :D

I'll try and get some pictures later, but my lego collection is as follows:

Millenium Falcon Re-release
Millenium Falcon Mini Version
Star Destoryer Mini Version
Imperial Star Destroyer
2 TIE Fighters - Black and Blue Versions
Y Wing
X Wing
AT ST
Snow Speeder
Death Star

I just need the AT AT, but I can't decide whether to get the motorised version or not

Its a shame that they are so woefully uncompetitive on price :(

Indeed, their VIP lets you get £5 off for every £100 spent, but only on subsequent orders, that doesn't remotely help.
We buy our Lego online, from Tesco, from Asda, from John Lewis and always wait for a set to be on offer for half price or close to it.

We've basically all the hobbit and all the LOTR sets with the exception of barrel escape which we missed in the latest Asda run, and the Tower of Orthanc which I will be forced to get from the LEGO store eventually, as it isn't sold elsewhere.
I'll just have to wait for it to be on offer.

Lego at full price is damn dear, by seems worth the money at half price.

What I find odd, is that the LEGO store doesn't even carry a full range, Toys r Us or the other stores seem to carry more Lego than Lego do. Bizarre.
