**** The Official OnePlus 6 Thread ****

Not having to deal with Samsung is enough reason to get the O6T over the Note 9/ S9 even if they are the same price.

Can't wait to get rid of my S7E.

Never tried the S7 so can't comment on that one, Galaxy S8 interface was fine though, quite happy with either, so long as Nova Launcher is installed. :)

I hate this channel, he keeps on having "leaks" in his video titles and it always ends up being speculation. Don't use the word leak if it's not a leak, that's just click bait.

Even better news.

Friends,
As we prepare for our biggest launch yet on October 30, we have some very exciting news for our friends in the UK. We are partnering with some of the UK’s most trusted networks and biggest retailers to stock our upcoming flagship – the OnePlus 6T.
Operators EE and Vodafone will join O2 in offering OnePlus devices, while retailers John Lewis and Carphone Warehouse will also be selling the OnePlus 6T, making it our most widely available product yet.
We’ve always been driven by a desire to provide the ultimate user experience with our products. However, this experience should begin long before our device is in your hands. We want to give you as many options as possible to discover our products, and with our new partners, getting your hands on our latest flagships has never been easier.
The OnePlus 6T will go on sale on November 6 with all our partners as well as on oneplus.com.
This is an important milestone for us in the UK as we approach our 5th anniversary. As always, thank you for helping us reach this point– we continue to grow with your support.

It's good news for the company and for consumers that they are going to be in large retailers and on more networks. Apparently Oneplus are now the fourth biggest seller in the UK, but there are still loads of people who have never heard of them. My barber asked me what phone I had recently and said he'd never heard of the company, and none of my non-techie friends had heard of Oneplus either. I think outside of techie circles they still aren't very well known.

With the way Oneplus aggressively price their phones any increase in market share is good news for consumers. Eventually Google and Samsung will be forced to respond with reduced prices on their flagships, particularly if Oneplus can maintain low costs while introducing things like an OLED always-on display, a better camera, an IP rating, and wireless charging. Add some or all of those features to a Oneplus phone and price it at ~£600 and you're going to have people questioning why they're paying £150+ extra for competing devices.

Plus you've got the immediate benefits that lmfy2k mentioned.

I always recommend OP when asked and nearly all of the time people have never heard of them, usually they've just stuck with samsung for years.

You've had a OP for 5+ years? Wow! same battery?

I have had my original oneplus one since 2014 and still working really well, battery is still good and performance is fine, been recommending them for years as well. When I decide to replace it it will probably be a oneplus again

Will be getting a £50 John Lewis voucher through my ISP on October 30. What perfect timing, was thinking what could I use it for as I don't normally shop there. Can't wait to order the 6T!
