**** The Official OnePlus 7/OnePlus 7 Pro Thread ****

Some people over at XDA who have the touch problem are sending them back.
I wonder if 1+ has chosen a cheap panel controller?

EDIT=If I turn on NFC and then run cpu-z. I get ghost touches.
But with nfc turned off. All is ok!
True. However, it isn’t that distracting.

Can some one tell me why the hardware apps tell me I have a 12 and 15 MP cameras.

Where\how did OnePlus get 48mp from?

what hardware apps you using for that?

You go into settings - about phone it clearly shows the camrea 48/16/8MP etc.

I've tried lots of apps in the store.
Non say 48mp.
I don't use the camera. But I wanted to know what's what

Ghost typing is very specific to cpuz so though isn't it. It didn't affect the rest of the phone. Clearly proximity sensor has software issue which will be fixed. Of course there is a chance for hardware issue with the sensor though I suppose

No it's not specific to cpu-z unfortunately. It can be on facebook etc too.

Look how much space is wasted with that selfie camera. Could easily have been brave and not had one at all and fitted a bigger battery and sd card slot.

Good point well put - in my book :D I too would be quite happy to glue it down permanently. I work in dusty environments and although dust would maybe not get into the internals (maybe) I'm sure there would be a danger of the selfie lens mechanism clogging up with dust.

I have a Galaxy S9+ that the lens cover on the back of the phone cracked. I had it replaced only for both lens's seemed unable to focus. It could take a close up, like 2 foot, in focus but that was all. Sent it back through carphone warehouse who replaced the cameras. All was good for a while but now the top lens produces results like the lens was dirty or dusty, which it isn't. Bottom lens results not too bad but not the best. It seems like dust has got in though difficult to see for sure. So a wipe and return it again I see in my future  I'm tempted to upgrade and pre release the OnePlus peaked my interest but now maybe not so much..

I don't get why you would need to use the selfie pop up camera in your work?? How often do you really need to use selfie camera at work?? Surely any camera lens/phone would be an issue in a dusty work place.

Sounds just like a silly reason to be hating on the pop up camera..... "don't want to take a selfie at work incase I get dust in it" - Really???:confused:

I work in steel dust all day. He's just being dramatic. Just look after your stuff?

I'd probably never use the selfie camera. My point was the recess it pops up out of will probably fill with dust and maybe lead to failure of the mechanism, though really don't know for sure. To be contrary I'd probably prefer the pop up camera to a notch or hole in the display  In the end I'm not bothered about a selfie cam and if the pop up camera failed to 'pop up' I care not other than when it comes to the day I want to sell it on.
