**** The Official OnePlus 7/OnePlus 7 Pro Thread ****

Yep. And reddit app.

Can someone else try this please.
Put the screen to 60hz then turn on NFC, and load up cpu-z or what ever app makes ghost touches for you.

On mine 8\256 version. The ghost touches was faster and more of them.

did this and I get the top status bar randomly pulling itself down as if i'm dragging it down.....Only time i get it is this set of circumstances....Assuming thats what you mean by"ghost touches"

Still never had screen at 60hz and don't use cpuz - so unless it starts to happen at any other time, it's no issue to me

It seems as if a lot of people are butt hurt about the OP7 for some reason. Literally looking for any reason to bash it.

I assume these people used to love oneplus but can't handle the higher price or the fact the phone generally is better than the competition for less money?

Sure but it's still incredibly sloppy and this isn't the first time OnePlus has sold a phone with issues out of the box.

how is it sloppy??- it's a one in a million set of circumstances....cpu-z, 60hz screen and NFC on is the only time it appear to happen.

@hardkore is right - loads of people bashing OP but come on....a random mix of app/screen res produce one small issue - hardly worth calling it sloppy release.

Nah its that it's too big and the camera is portrayed as excellent when it's not. :p

Anyway, all phones have teething problems. It's about how the company deals with the solutions is important.

Too big is subjective and can't be used as criticism. I love the size and that's why I wanted one. Fair comment on the camera but that's DxO's fault. If OP can issue a few updates making lower light perform better and the wide angle not being so washed out its a great camera.

Snapseed can easily sort out the washed colour though.

I have the OnePlus 7 Pro, the ghost touch is also affecting whatsapp, Facebook etc.

Undecided atm, might send it back, with that and being a bit too big /heavy.

Did you see the oneplus presentation? Discovery channel pitch...

@hardkore, size is subjective yes and it ls too big for me. Most manufacturers now make 2 size of phones.

Fair comment. Although with smaller size comes a smaller battery. You'd have to sacrifice 90hz or SoC to get decent battery life. Suppose you could even go to 1080p providing the DPI stays at a decent level.

Cpu-z is just a reliable way of inducing the issue. It happens in a lot of other apps.

Im sure they will fix it soon

"Butt hurt" - how old are you, 12?

It's sloppy because CPU-Z is a widely used app so I am surprised OnePlus didn't notice this before they released the phone. It's extra frustrating because their previous phones have had ghost touch issues as well.

Pointing out the issues shouldn't be a problem. This phone isn't perfect and if OnePlus want to continue to increase the price year after year, they need to be prepared to take criticism when people start to compare their phones to other brands.

If an iPhone was released and it had ghost touch issues it would be everywhere.

I'm 30, cheers.

Yeah I'm sure cpu-z is a critical app in day to day usage. Gotta keep an eye on the system components. You never know when they'll change.

I wasn't aware that previous phones had this issue, my last oneplus was the 3T. Fingers crossed it gets sorted for those affected.

Anyone who is, post what settings they are using along with the spec of the phone. Let's see if we can figure something out.

I understand it happens on one of the Reddit apps as well.

I'm just saying that it seems like sloppy QA if they don't test the phone against one of the most popular benchmarking apps on the Play Store. OnePlus try to cater to enthusiasts so I am quite astonished they didn't see this, to be honest. That's what I meant by sloppy.

To be fair the OnePlus 7 is smaller. That actually looks more appealing to me, except for the notch (have got used to it on my iPhone XS, having said that).

If the OnePlus 7T is the OnePlus 7 Pro but in a smaller body, then I may well look into it then. As of now, I am returning my OP7 Pro as I find it too big and heavy and I don't find the camera justifies its price tag and price increase over the OnePlus 6T. Bearing in mind that you can get much cheaper phones that don't have notches (Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G comes to mind), I don't find that enough to jack up the price so much either.

The OP7 looks something of a steal though, at under £500.
