I got the official stand from Game. Seems ok so far.
can some one do me a solid please ?? i have just hidden a load of rubbish games from my trophies list that my missus had played but never completed and ones that i just couldn't get in to with 0%, just wondering if someone could count them up and tell me how many are showing

Yeah that's the plan really - it's working fine so no point doing anything until stocks are plenty.
Reports online from the odd other fault like this suggest that putting it in an orientation that doesn't make the horrible noise and inserting, ejecting a bunch of times sorted it out - so they could put it flat again.
Mine needs to be tilted as if to put it upside down, to about 10% off vertical for the noise to not occur. But I put a disc in and out 10 times in that position last night and then stood it vertical and it hasn't happened again yet. Will see how it goes and if it doesn't come back then i'll forget it. If it doesn, just exchange it in a couple of months
To be honest I would exchange it if you get the chance, you'll be kicking yourself if it throws another wobbly and fails a week after your warranty expires.
Better be safe than sorry and all that.

Have you tried putting it on a different surface? Sure it's not just vibrations?
When mine is on my amp, horrendous noise. Sat it on the Sky box, no noise at all. lol

Yeah I will exchange it before the warranty runs out like - just want to make sure I can get another one straight away. Really pre-occupied at the minute and will be until Feb so just leaving it for now and will sort out the exchange then.
Surface doesn't matter - it's something slightly misaligned in the disc feeder itself rather than the console being loud in general. The console is quiet as a mouse when running - it's just when I insert and eject a disc. If I tilt it when doing so, it's fine, then the noise goes away for a while in all positions.
So certainly seems like something is very slightly out inside. It's something I could fix no doubt but it's under warranty so soon as I get time I'll just get it sorted.

I looked for a vertical stand but decided against one in the end.
the remote play function works great with Zen pinball but killzone its too tricky IMO with the miss buttons that must be used using the rear touchpad. FIFA 14 and Zen pinball 2 work great but bf4 and killzone bit more tricky

I bet I don't, and if I did, I wouldn't come on a forum and whinge about it.
The PS4 LED is there for a reason, it isn't there to look cool, try reading the manual right there on your PS4 next time you switch it on because it's explained in a easy to read format.
Anyone any good at Resogun and wants to help me complete CO-OP? I have reasonable scores on it, but I only have about 6 people on my list who have it.

I remember you getting some awesome scores on SSHD (sure it was you). I do have Resogun but I'm not amazing at it to be fair so I probably wouldn't be much help.
