Scott has been talking since March 17th @ Wondercon about doing a sequel...

Lindelof has been quoted as saying:

Now if a sequel does get greenlit and i'm almost certain it will be, what do you want to see, where should it go?!?

I don't mean in terms of writers/director, it will undoubtedly be Scott's movie and Lindelof will probably be involved as well.

What story do you want to see, where should it go?

EDIT: Forgot to add what I want, off the top of my head, I only know I don't want to follow Shaw & David searching for the engineers homeworld.

We'll see how it does at the American box office. Although if there is a sequel I seriously doubt that Scott will direct.
 
That's what I was thinking earlier. It would have to be a new crew.

You can't make a movie with 1.5 protagonists. And if it's another crew, how's that going to work? Well, it wouldn't...

Maybe Shaw could clone herself. (Eek, my mind is wandering now, it's not *that* kind of film...)

However he's already said if there are sequels, he wants to do them.

Fox follows the money, always, Scott has proved he can make it again and again, they'll give him the reins and let him have his merry way.

Doesn't necessarily mean he'll be involved in a directorial capacity though.
 
True. With his age a big factor I think taking on major projects like Prometheus sequels Whilst also doing a Bladerunner sequel could be too much.

Realistically if he's going to do the sequels himself he may shoot them consecutively like Lord of the rings.
 
Not to mention he's talking about a film based on Moses and currently working on one called The Counselor too. If he does choose to direct we might not see it for a while.

Theres a few comments with some evidence that part 2 may have already been shot. Doubtful but its out there anyway.

Scott has The Counselor and I think Blade Runner and I thought The Forever War. I also read that Promtheus 2 and 3 might be filmed together to save cost. Scott is quite cost conscious when making films.
The film has issues but I liked it. Probably watching again on Thursday.

In pretty much every press interview about Prometheus he's been talking about the Blade Runner followup ha. Be a female protaganist (wouldn't be massively surprised to see Rapace take this) and he'd like Harrison Ford to come back in some way.

Would like to see them get James Cameron in to direct and to do Prometheus what he did to Alien.

So a bunch of Marines fighting hundreds of monster squid things and giant bald men... Sounds pretty good to me.
