Probably, but I was on holiday when 2.40 came out, so missed it before it got pulled.

Images seem to load like greased lightning in the Playstation Store now, and you can change the layout by pressing Square (I think this was in 2.40 already).

are you using a downloaded skin? i was using magna and it was the same went back to original and its the right logo
If your using a custom theme it needs updating to support the new icons.

Your theme must be clever 
But seriously I would guess it's something along the lines that some theme's have an default icon they can use when they don't have a custom icon which the system is requesting and in most cases this will be a ? icon. But with your theme it would seem for whatever reason it doesn't have that therfore it falls back to the orignal system icons for ones which it can't display.
