***The Official Q6600 Overclocking Thread ***

As in room temps? Well, you know how the weather in the UK varies..Wasn't asking for an exact amount, just a rough idea.

I'm sorry my 'quaestion' was too noob for you!!

Case temp
Ambient temp
what gfx card you run
vcore

there are to many factors to predict such a thing.

Best way is to just clock it and find out

The guy asked a simple question why can't you just give him a simple/friendly answer, its not rocket science or breakthrough lifesaving medical research, its a temp. If the question is too 'noobish' for you then let one of the 'lesser mortals' answer it and you can do something more constructive with your time.

In short, get off your high horse and try and be more friendly! :)

Open your eyes and read post 387.

I have already answered his question.

sheesh

Looks like im gonna have to settle for 3.2Ghz, i can boot @ 3.4 with 1.375VCore, not prime stable, but clocked any higher just wont boot and increasing the VCore doesnt seem to make much difference, maybe its my board, but earlier when trying for a stable 3.3Ghz it crashed and in the bios upon reboot it said my CPU was running @ 9.3Ghz,,,yes you read it peoperly. Bloody thing, still 3.2 aint bad, and i've managed to lower the volts a little so now my fully loaded temps are a max of 61*, with idle coming in at 37*

Here's one of mine.....small fft's ..... still testing for lowest voltages...........

Looks promising!

1 Minute Prime stable! :p

Thats the second ever shortest prime run I've seen, the shortest being grumpyriders 19 second prime stability shot of his E2160! :D

That actually made me chuckle this morning in the office :p

We all know that was a "steping stone shot" as I intended, and did go higher than 3.1ghz!

No point priming at "mid range" speeds.

I prime when I think I have found the max stable overclock.
